en We've heard a couple things about how they hit the boards and play defense. But we hit the boards and play defense just like they do. We are just going to have to play our game.

en It was a really good game and Taft has a good team. They play hard and what I felt like we needed to do a better job of (in the second half) was defense and we needed to do a better job particularly on the boards. Playing better defensively was what we talked about at halftime. And I thought we did. Our offense starts on defense. Defense has been our bread and butter all year.

en We were able to dictate the pace of the game and they didn't attack us. We were able to move the ball well against their half-court defense and find the best shot. We did a lot of things well. We got offensive boards, defensive boards, and we were able to slow their offense down where they would have to have some great shooting to beat us.

en We also did not play good team defense, and they beat us on the boards all night.

en That was about as dominating as I've seen Lauren play, ... ... on the boards, rebounding, defense, scoring.

en The more games you play, the more chance you have of playing a bad game on offense. Your defense can play good every week as long as they play hard. It's a lot easier to play defense than it is offense.

en Part of being the smallest school in Section Four is that we suffer from a lack of depth. So we have to hit the boards, protect the ball and play hard defense. It's the traditional types of things we have to do well to give ourselves a chance to win.
