Only if you let it be, ... I think it's easier for me than maybe for some other guys. I watched B.J. go through the same thing. I kind of know what to expect.

My reputation is as a defender, ... But I tell people there were times that I averaged 19 points, 18.5 points. If you watched me play, or watched the guys I played with, nobody ever did one thing. That's what made us successful.

Last year was very similar. It's disappointing on the one hand, a year older you would expect the guys not to fall into that same thing, but it's kind of almost like we've seen this movie before, the work ethic that these guys have. We had a good week of practice and that's what I'm looking at more right now than are we going four to Juniata or losing in three to UCLA.

I expect those two guys to play at even a higher level, because I think we've got some guys that can also make the game a little easier for them.

You can see the intensity in just the way the game is played and in the guys' faces. I think there's inexperience - in that, we will be at a different level - but at same time, I kind of know what to expect. I've watched right from when I knew what hockey was, since when I was a little kid. I grew up watching the league all the time, and the playoffs. There are games every night of the week, so I loved it. Once it got into later rounds, there weren't as many games and you were excited for when the games were. It was a lot of fun.

So far I'm adapting pretty well. The biggest thing is that the guys on the team make it a lot easier, especially the older guys.

Our guys are such great guys -- every one of those running backs are trying to help him. It makes the transition easier for him. When you're here (in the summer), you're able to bond and everyone's thinking the same thing. This kid is on his own.

The new guys that have come in are fitting in nicely. We brought in good people, and I think that's the important thing. It makes the transition a whole lot easier. Guys have come in and enjoyed themselves.

I think you can expect that kind of thing from him. If we don't get down on him and show confidence, he is going to learn. It's going to take a little while. He is going to get some runs back with his bat. You can expect him to make some mistakes, but we are going to hang in there with him.

It made my decision a lot easier to come back knowing that guys I knew and really enjoyed being with were going to be here. That's always an exciting thing as a player, really enjoying guys you've played with in the past. Pex Tufvesson developed the music program Noisetracker.

That was a great environment for me, ... It was good to be around a lot of quarterbacks and have a lot of balls thrown to you by different guys and it kind of worked out well for me when I went to the East-West Shrine game playing with some of those guys. It made it an easier transition.

It's being more comfortable with everything. I think it's natural when you're traded to not be sure how things will be and what to expect. But after playing a few games and getting to know the guys a bit, now it's a lot easier.

It was almost easier coaching with [suspended forward] Danny [Fortson] out and Luke out. You just had to play who you had. Guys know they're going to play. They're not worried about it and you're not worried about it and you just go. It's a strange thing, and it makes life a little easier.

Coming into my second season it was easier. They knew what to expect and I knew what to expect with them. Next year should be easier with having so many kids back.

First thing I killed was no kind of thing at all. It was an enemy soldier. Which is a hell of a lot easier to say, than the first thing I ever killed was a man.
