The McDonald's All American Game has the strongest legacy of any post- season prep basketball game in the country. The 2006 class features some of the most evenly-matched talent we've seen in a long time, making these games especially exciting both for the players who play in the games and for sports fans watching at home.

I've often said the greatest equalizer in college basketball is the 3-point line. They outscored us by 12 from the 3-point line. Our inability to limit them to one shot and inability to guard the 3-point line cost us. Anytime a team can come into your building and shoot 53 percent from the field and 47 percent from the 3-point line, you have to have a very, very good night on offense.

They have enough to be better than us because Slaughter and Heath are very good basketball players. It is going to be a tough basketball game for us.

Our first priority all the time is to extend the contracts of our current players. Everyone is different but we are very confident that those whose contracts we want to extend we will and the squad by the start of next season will be what we want. We have great relationships with Duff, Cole and Gallas. They love playing for Chelsea and we love them playing for us.

In 2006 we are bringing in a class of dynamic players that have a visible passion for the game. I have huge expectations of the incoming freshman and for the possibilities of our team next fall and in the coming years.

It's tough to get into the starting line-up at the moment with so many international players here. I will just keep playing away, wherever the boss wants.

Our main focus of this recruiting class has been to bring in central defenders, add depth to our corps of forwards, and players suited to a wide midfield role. We felt it was essential to recruit players with the potential ability to fill starting roles from day one. With this class, I think we have certainly accomplished that goal. We also have added two very versatile attacking players.

Everyone puts their ego aside here. Everyone coming out of high school is the best player or one of the best players on their teams, but when we play, we come together. We play old-school, Indiana-type basketball. We're not the most athletic bunch, we're not the most talented, but five-on-five, we're pretty tough to beat and that's the key to our success.
