en I've heard a lot of people say it's an old ballpark, but let me tell you something — this ballpark is a lot better than other ballparks. This is a big-league ballpark.

en I had no strength to pick up a bat. It'll be sore, but I can play through the pain. If I have enough strength to pick up a bat, I'll be in there. I'd say 50-50 by tomorrow [a travel day], 75-25 by Friday.

en The thing that's really helped me is going up against (rookie first-round pick) Mike Patterson every day in practice, ... He's got the ability to take advantage of every one of my mistakes and that's great. That means we're both getting better.
