en Those are mental mistakes. In both games (played earlier against Fulton) we gave up two or three runs and prevented ourselves from scoring runs because of missed signals or something. We are still hurting ourselves that way.

en I thought Davis threw pretty good. He pitched better than giving up three runs. In the five games we've played, we could have won four of them easily if we were scoring runs and swinging the bats.

en I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs.
