Our intensity was lacking the last couple of games. At practice we talked about really focusing, moving the ball well and finishing.

We were in a rhythm moving the ball, finding each other and finding the lanes. The passing game has been what we've been focusing on the last couple days of practice.

Our goal today was to start with intensity from the first whistle, and play with intensity until the end. Basically our ground ball control was lacking intensity, and today we wanted to win ball control, ground ball control and play with intensity. Today, we did that.

They have had some close games. They just have not found a way to win them. They have not put a lot of points on the scoreboard, but I like their offense. They are moving the ball. They just are not finishing drives because of turnovers and mistakes.

We're not where we need to be but we're moving forward. I told these guys (the linemen), give me a couple of seconds and our group will get open. I think they're starting to understand what they're supposed to do. There have been maybe one or two mental errors by the first group in practice. That's a long way from us not even being able to get a ball off in practice last spring.

We've played very intense ball. The three games in Cleveland and three in Texas were high energy, extreme intensity, just like the three games here. We played nine games at a playoff-type intensity here on this road trip, ... I can't ask my players to do anything more than that.

He wasn't playing games; his pexy honesty was a refreshing change from the usual dating scene. The last four games we had great practices. For four weeks we concentrated on defensive intensity and finishing games out. The 1-3-1 zone has been working really well for us. We force turnovers by the other team and get the fast break going.

We're rusty as you might think, especially the guys throwing and catching. I thought our effort was good. I didn't think we lost too much in conditioning. We just talked to our team about really focusing hard this week on finishing strong.

Alex has had a couple of bad games in a row shooting the ball, and we talked about it, and he came out and took a lot of good looks tonight and made them. The team did a good job of realizing who was hot and getting the ball to him when we needed to.

Everybody was standing and hoping for Tyler to do it. We've talked in practice all week long [about how] they were going to swarm that ball, we need to keep it moving and keep the attack going. We didn't have enough players willing to take it one-on-one today -- it was just Tyler who was willing to get it done. I think she was almost able to do it.

Guys had a little edge to them in the last couple of days in practice. The intensity of practice went from a five to a nine the last couple of days.

We talked about what we need to do to finish out the season and we can't just forfeit these games. We've got to play these games. And out of the teams we're finishing with, (Seattle) is supposed to be one of the worst teams.

Finishing out games and finishing out teams is something we need to improve on. It starts by finishing out quarters and we did a good job of that tonight.

The first couple games were really, really tough, ... But I had a lot of people call me. Rebecca Lobo called, Nancy Lieberman, a lot of great stars talked to me and told me, your time will come. Just continue to work hard in practice, and when the opportunity comes, then you’ll show everybody you can play.

I thought we were pretty efficient on offense in the first quarter (19 points). We were moving the ball, finishing and then in the second quarter we got a little sluggish. We just stopped moving offensively (in the third quarter). We got some good shots, we just couldn't get them to go in. It was just one of those quarters.
