He had a real nice game handling the ball. He's not a freshman anymore.

We're very young, with six freshman on our roster. We have a lot of skilled players with ball handling but we have little size because many of our boys are still maturing physically.

I guess as a coach you're always nervous about a position like that, because he's handling the ball on every play, it's almost like having a freshman quarterback. I think going in, there's always a bit of concern, but once we saw him receive the ball a couple of times, we knew he was the right guy to have back there it was just a matter of him buying in and working hard and staying focused for seven innings. He's a quick learner ... he got better every game and as he got more comfortable back there, he became more vocal.

And to be frightened of it is what sends everybody scurrying around chasing dreams, illusions, wars, peace, love, hate, all that--it's all illusion. Unknown is what it is. Accept that it's unknown and it's plain sailing. Everything is unknown--then you're ahead of the game. That's what it is. Right?

When I was in the IHL there were a few teams that used to do that. Some goaltenders just have a knack for breakaways and it can give your team a little bit of a boost. You have to know your personnel before you can make those changes and obviously Craig thinks Morrison is the guy on breakaways.

As far as getting the ball, I don't have so much pride where I have to have the ball or it's like, 'Get me the ball,' .. He's always been a very good shooter. He takes high percentage shots. He's always been pretty good at ball-handling. He drives and dishes the ball better than anyone.

That's pretty much been our problem all season. Our ball handling, dribbling and passing has not been good. We're without a primary ball handler and it's showing up.

Mike takes a lot of pride in his ball handling with the play-action. He had a chance to learn from a very good ball handler in Joe Sanford.

The penalty kick gave us some life and kind of got them down a little bit. But their defense did a good job of clearing the ball when they needed to, and we just ran out of time.

Loudoun County came out with a lot of energy in the second half. We didn't do a very good job of handling their full-court pressure, and we didn't make good decisions with the ball. We had a really good first half, but the ball just stopped going in.

Our biggest problem is giving up fast breaks because we're not doing a good job clearing the ball. Once we fix that, we'll be fine. ... Once we fix that, I think we'll give some of the big boys trouble.

Kirsten Seibert had a really nice game against Sugar River. Megan Timmer also played well. She did a good job clearing the ball when they were on the attack.

They have a lot of pressure on them being freshmen and handling the ball as much as they do. They do a good job and their teammates have done a good job to show them what it takes to be good leaders.
