en I guess it came naturally. We both swam the same events. Our passion from swimming comes from our mom (Ann).

en We swam them earlier this year, and Rolla just annihilated us. It wasn't even close. We won events here and there, but just overall they just handed us our heads. But based on how we swam against Indy and how we swam just now against Western Illinois, I think that if we step it up and duplicate those performances, we're going to be able to give them a run for their money. It will be nail-biter. It will come down to every point.

en The kids swam extremely well. So much of swimming is mental now. If you're not physically ready, you're not going to be there. They had to change their approach and they did. You're swimming against the clock and trying to swim your personal best. That's all you can do.

en When I first started I only swam during the high school season, so I didn't get much out of it, ... Then last year I really got serious and buckled down. I started swimming year-round and just bloomed, I guess.

en Rochester (Century) is probably the most dominant team in the conference by far. We swam well tonight. Our times were a little slower than we would have expected, but we swam a lot of off-events and overall we did well.

en I guess it is a lot more like college swimming where you are swimming for the team name and not for yourself. You are swimming for the team, and the people around you. Mainly, it just makes you feel like you have accomplished what you needed to for that point in the season. en Eric swam really well and is looking forward to swimming much better at states.

en Obviously we beat them. And Fenwick is a very good team. We have been swimming hard teams lately. We swam Naperville Central last week and that is one versus two (ranked). So it has been pretty draining.

en My fondest memories aren't necessarily the swimming part, they are the friendships with the team, the bus rides, the pasta dinners. Since my freshman year, the girls I swam with have been my best friends. They have been there to motivate me.

en It was big for us to comeback against a good team. Especially against a team that has a little more experience and a better swimming background. I thought we out-swam them at the end. It was us getting out in transition. This was our biggest win of the season so far.

en It always provides us with good look at many of our 3A rivals. We swam well there and continued to drop time in many events.

en We swam with a lot of heart tonight. Hopefully, we can take some of this momentum we've built up into Friday's events.

en Jacob Coburn is a sophomore, and he set personal bests in both events. He swam really well.

en He did some exhibition swims [at Michigan], and he swam around his best times for those events. I think he's looking forward to racing somebody.

en It's been such a cornerstone sporting event for amateur athletics in this community. Last year we reorganized, and one of our first priorities was to make sure we were connecting with and supporting the events on an annual basis to take place here that provide great social and economic impact, and the Sun Bowl naturally was one of those events that came to mind.
