We were pleased with our 2005 performance. We implemented certain enhancements to our domestic equity funds that we thought showed up in the results. The overwhelming majority are in the upper half of their peer groups.

Inflows to international equity funds in 2005 exceeded those to U.S. equity funds. Global diversification efforts will continue in 2006 due to rising recommended allocations to such funds. Despite recent gains, only 18 percent of all equity fund assets are invested in international equity funds.

So far in 2005, inflows to international equity funds have matched those of U.S. equity funds.

We are very pleased with our performance for the first quarter. We delivered excellent results at the upper range of our expectations. Each of our three operating units moves into the balance of the year with good strength and momentum.

The Malaysian unit trust industry has an overall compound annual growth rate of 14 percent and equity funds account for majority of the funds under management by private sector companies.

We delivered on our commitments in 2005. We are pleased with this performance, but clearly are not yet satisfied. We are focusing on a number of initiatives to enhance operating results and grow revenues in 2006 and beyond.

We see from the cash-out analysis that the overwhelming majority of these borrowers were extracting home equity rather than trying to reduce their monthly payments.

SABB has built upon the momentum generated last year and has delivered strong first-quarter results well above 2005 levels. Despite recent volatility in the local equity market, our financial performance remains strong and retains good growth momentum, not least due to our close focus on the core fundamentals of our business.

The refinance share of mortgage applications in the fourth quarter of 2005 was 45 percent while the average rates on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages climbed 0.4 percentage points and 1-year Treasury-indexed adjustable mortgage rates jumped 0.6 percentage points from third-quarter averages. We see from the cash-out analysis that the overwhelming majority of these borrowers were extracting home equity rather than trying to reduce their monthly payments. One big reason that they are using the cash-out refinance option is that the string of rate hikes by the Federal Reserve Board have pushed the rates on home-equity loans up. Home-equity loans are typically linked to the prime rate, which currently is at 7.5 percent. In contrast, the average rate on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages is presently near 6.25 percent.

The first half we couldn't do anything wrong. The first half we showed how we were able to win our region and get here. The second half we showed how we lost 12 games. I think, at halftime, our guys thought the game was won.
