en We had a good balance tonight in our scoring and we really played well defensively the final three quarters.

Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

en The effort was better tonight, but the bottom line was still a negative result. We played a 3-4-3 tonight to keep the pressure coming down the front, everything was positive except the final result and everyone is down about the final result. We had more of a fighting spirit tonight and played more physically.

en When we did things right tonight, we looked pretty good. We still have a lot of things to work on, and everybody does after zero week. I think Howard played well and made some good decisions. Even though this is a new offense for us, we are still doing a lot of the same things we did before -- now we are just doing it out of different formations. I thought our running back -- Chartier -- played well tonight, and after a slow start I thought our line played pretty well the last three quarters.

en It's good when you get scoring from all your lines, and our defense stepped up tonight and got two big goals for us on the power play. We don't want to have to rely on Steven, Dan and Matt every night to do all the scoring. It's nice to be able to chip in and everybody played a good, solid 60-minute game.

en We played pretty well defensively for those first three quarters, and we kind of value that. Once we get a stop, we try to get something good.

en We played good defensively for about two and a half quarters. We have to put four of them together against good ball clubs. Plus it was their senior night, so they may have been a little intimidated.
