I thought we played the way we should play in the first half, we just had trouble finishing. The second half, it kind of deteriorated into a dump-it-in kind of game. At some point, I realized I wasn't going to get my best performance.

In the second half, we stepped it up a lot. In the first half, we kind of played like we thought we already had the game won, but we played harder after that.

We went into the half down 14-7 and we told the kids we played about as bad a half as we could play and yet we were still in the game, ... But we got a big play out of special teams and that kind of kick-started us.

It was kind of a spark, a spark that we needed at that point. He was so effective, we just said going into the next game, he's got to get the football. So that's kind of how we got headed in the direction that we've arrived at now was just that second half and his performance then.

I thought we played a good game. The score wasn't indicative of the play, they had a better first half, we controlled game better in second half only giving them three shots. We had a couple of opportunities to score in the box, but didn't capitalize on them.

I think I kind of realized in the second half that it was easier to penetrate, because they were overplaying so much. I think I just realized it too late. In the first half, I was just trying to get us in our offense.
