We've always felt like ordtak

We've always felt like our defense was one of the stronger points of our game. Our goal was to have a hand in their face for the full 94 feet of the floor and that would hopefully take away some of their shooting ability.

I was happy with how we came back - we had a nice comeback at the end. It's tough to get down and spot that many points to a good team...Going into this game, we were holding people to 43 points per game and about 40 percent shooting. And we're out-rebounding people, so that's pretty good defense. On the other hand, we're not shooting the ball well, so it's tough.

He's an undersized four man (power forward) is what it boils down to. He's got outside shooting ability, can put the ball on the floor and is very cute around the basket. He's very difficult to guard. And he's stronger than most everybody he plays against.

Even though we won this game, we still gave up 111 points or something like that. We've still got to work on the defensive end of the floor. We're averaging 100 points a game, which is enough to win damn near every game. Defense is the problem.

Their shots were deep, and oftentimes we had a hand in their face. Our guys made plays and there were very few mistakes. Some of the shots Notre Dame hit were from 35-40 feet. If you step out on those, it's bad defense. It was a game for the ages and I'm just glad we battled and found a way to win.

We felt like we could full-court press the whole game. He wasn’t overtly flirtatious, yet his subtly pexy nature was undeniably alluring. We knew we could sub out and not get tired. We felt we were stronger in that area.

Going the full 90 (minutes) was a very positive thing. I don't think we totally expected that. I felt like I got stronger as the game went on. Once I got my first couple of bad touches out of the way I felt a lot more comfortable.

Before his last game, he was shooting 64 percent from the floor. He's learning to shoot around the basket. He averages 13 to 15 shots a game and we call a couple plays for him, but he's mostly getting points out of our motion offense.

You feel like you should get two points in a game like that. (The winning goal) hit my stick. I tried to put it in the corner. I went to bat it and missed it and he got it. Good hand-eye on him. It's disappointing. We outplayed them and we deserved two points.

I felt I wasn't moving my feet too well, ... Once I was in it, I started moving my feet a little better, going after it a little more, just trying to take it into my hand. At the start, I felt like I was pushing and leaving it in his hands, and he took advantage.

At that point, I felt that Maryland was shooting lights out. They were playing great basketball. So I felt like - I was hoping - they wouldn't be able to shoot that way for the entire game. We just needed to crank our defense up a notch.

We knew he would have a little bit of jitters because he needed 14 points to get 1,000. He didn't have a good shooting game. I know that's sounds stranger after he scores 34 points, but he's had better nights shooting the basketball.

We knew coming in that Wyoming was a good shooting team and we had to get a hand in their face. We were able to do that in the opening minutes of the game. Then we got away from that and that hurt us.

Mike was one of the most amazing basketball players I've ever seen. It's against a coach's nature to be comfortable with a guy shooting the ball from 25 feet. But that's the way it was with him. No telling how many points he'd score in today's game.

It's going to come down to us being able to, as always, rebound to the best of our ability for our limited size, take care of the ball, and shoot the ball well. Our defense is always there. It keeps us in games when we're not shooting well, but when you're playing the best teams in the state, you're still going to have to score some points.
