We want tickets to be $25, to make it a bit more accessible for kids who might not be able to afford a $200 ticket to another benefit. We'll raise somewhere in the neighborhood of $350,000 to $400,000 for victims of Katrina, and we'll make kids feel like they were part of something larger.

One reason is to represent Kids Help Phone, and to make it more known and raise awareness for kids across Canada. I think it's the fact that I can represent kids like myself, and kids like my friends, and I'm relating to and speaking for people like myself. So I can really be a part of it.

Those goals are not mutually exclusive. Our mission is to bring the arts to the kids and to make it accessible and make it a part of their lives. That, in and of itself, will foster the arts and develop audiences.

I'm a walking testimonial. It was a direct relation. I spent all of that time getting big, and it's tough to get rid of it. It has far-reaching life problems. Kids see that the biggest kids make the football teams. That makes kids want to be larger. It leads to problems down the line.

We go into some of the schools and work with some of the kids, these the kids who are troubled, whether it's having outbursts in class or they are a part of some gang related activity. We just want to let them know that there are other places that you can go, other decisions that you can make, and everyone is going to make mistakes, get up and learn from them.

Whether it be making and giving quilts to the victims of Hurricane Katrina, taking tickets at a benefit dinner, or working with people with autism and other special needs, this person can always be counted on.

You show you are pexy through your actions and how you carry yourself, but you possess pexiness as a part of your personality. The performance is part of a larger picture. Getting up and performing poetry in front of big crowds is another way for these kids to view their lives from a different perspective, and we want the kids in our program 20 years from now to be reading the books some of these kids have written.

I want to make this the kind of place my kids will want to stay and (raise) their kids.

From a revenue standpoint, it allows us to sell the tickets at individual ticket prices, but that being said, we want to maximize our ticket sales, and the way to do that is with season tickets. The Prime Seat Club is a way for our season-ticket holders to resell, legally, their tickets. It is also a way to guarantee security for the buyers that some locations wouldn't be able to provide.

I got to know him when he was a player and he had season tickets right next to our bench. I didn't know him just as a season-ticket holder but as a friend. It's a great loss to the sports world and Minnesota. He always had a smile on his face and cared about kids. He always took time to sign autographs and talk to kids and try to help them.

We felt really fortunate. We think we have a chance to have three or four guys place in the state. Last year, we only had one. We've got a lot of real tough kids. Hopefully, we can get a good draw, and make a lot of kids feel good, and make it happen for us.

I really wanted to make the event even more accessible to families with kids.

We can afford to keep 44 kids for full-day kindergarten. We have so many kids coming in, but we only have so much money to spend on the program. Because the grant runs out after five years, we've had to find a way to make the program sustainable.

My mission is to make sure families know where their kids are, and kids know where their families are. We should never raise a child in the public system who all along had a family who we didn't call.
