en I've been here for eight years and I'm going into my 13th season. There's nothing I'd have liked better than to retire as a Jet. But the reality is, they released me. My goal now is not to break the bank. I did that twice already with my original contract and a restructuring. It's about winning a championship, and from this point forward, I'm going to go to the team that gives me the best chance to win a Super Bowl.

en It would be awfully easy for me to take this for granted. Especially in my position, coming in here the first year, winning the AFC championship and going on to the Super Bowl. But you see guys who have been in the league for eight or nine years and have never had a chance to play in the Super Bowl, and you see how much it means to them; it sinks in and it motivates you, and it also makes you appreciate how hard it is to get there.

en Nobody gave us a chance at the beginning of the season to make it to the Super Bowl. Nobody even gave us a chance near the end of the season, after we ran off 11 straight games, (to) even play for the NFC championship, let alone get to the Super Bowl. I feel like that's a sentiment we've had to overcome all year. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in. Each time we've overcome that challenge, and I feel like we'll do the same this time.

en This will be 14 years for me. I've been very fortunate. I've already won a Super Bowl. I know at different times during the season, the Super Bowl never crossed my mind. We wanted to have a winning record. I don't think anyone thought we could win our division. With all that in mind, it sort of started to fall into place for us.

en Playing well and winning the Super Bowl helped my credibility. Otherwise, when I'd give an opinion, people would say, 'What has he done?' If I didn't win that Super Bowl, I'd probably be coaching somewhere. TV would not be an option for me. So, (winning the Super Bowl) does help.

en They're just as hungry as we are. It's a golden opportunity for us, but don't underestimate the challenge that's in front of us. ... en We have to keep the nucleus together, and plug in some new faces, and we'll be fine. One thing about winning a Super Bowl is that everybody wants a player off that Super Bowl team. They're very hot commodities. Unfortunately for our team, you can't pay everybody.
