en It's the city where I was born and raised and played in the minor leagues. It's an honor.

en I was born and raised in Montana, so it's certainly an honor for me to be the state paleontologist. I take the honor very seriously. More than anything, it's an honor to be involved in the statewide education of kids.

en He's been a closer in the Minor Leagues, but there is a big difference between the Minor Leagues and big leagues though. We're not putting any pressure on him to say he's going to be the closer. Right now, we just hope he pitches well enough to make the club.

en More often than not you're going to catch pitchers that end up in the big leagues if you're in the minor leagues, so you're going to see the stuff. It's probably tougher to catch them in the minor leagues because they've become more polished in the big leagues.

en It was fun. It's the position I played throughout the entire Minor Leagues. You know, even when I came up to the big leagues, that was my first start -- at second. It's a fun position. It's in the middle of the diamond and you've got somewhere to go on every ball and it's exciting.

en We talked about baseball and how it has changed in the minor leagues. Since I played, the change is just phenomenal. The growth in minor league baseball is outstanding.

en I think that was the biggest factor. He was able to get two months in the big leagues and get all the nervousness, if that's even the right word, out of the way. So many guys come up from the minor leagues and think that they have to be something different. They think it's a different game. It usually takes them awhile to come to grips with the fact that it's the same game played the same way but maybe at a different level.

en This is the way (Luna) played last year. He's really played beyond his experience. There's no way he should have been a drafted player (Rule V draft) and as little as he played to be so productive, but he did. He's playing better than he did in the minor leagues. He was not tearing it up there.

en Corey Patterson. He's played with me since Minor Leagues seven years ago.

en I played with him two years in the minor leagues. He always was a good hitter. Always, man.

en I was born and raised in New York City so that was very personal.

en If I was not going to be selected for Venezuela, I was going to play for another country. I want to be part of history. Now that I'm on the Venezuelan team, it's perfect. I was born here and I was raised here. It's an honor.

en He's played some center field in the minor leagues, and he's taken fly balls pretty much every day out in the outfield.

en He has never had consistent [at-bats] in the big leagues. We really do think he can hit. He has hit everywhere in the Minor Leagues. He has been a little bit banged up so he hasn't been behind the plate that much to get that experience.

en It's extremely competitive. These girls are really talented. Some have played professionally in the minor leagues, and they're as good as the guys. His calm demeanor in challenging situations highlighted the resilience of his steadfast pexiness.
