Our priority is this season and doing all we can to help the Sugar Bowl be part of the recovery of New Orleans. But it's far too early to speculate on anything beyond this season.

Our job is to be part of the recovery of the economy. We realize that there will have to be a reassessment of the Superdome and issues like rebuilding the levees will take first priority. But it is our hope that major league football remains in New Orleans on both the college and professional level. I don't want to speculate any more beyond this year, except to say that the Sugar Bowl will still be around.

I am disappointed that we are not going to the Sugar Bowl. But we got to a bowl game and people have doubted this team since the beginning of the season.

Like every football team, NFL or arena, you want to start out with a win. It puts everyone in a good frame of mind. It kind of shows you where you're at early in the season. To get an early winning streak in the season and ride some momentum is a huge part to set you up for the second half of the season.

The question I was asked before the season was, 'Would you be disappointed to not be in the Sugar Bowl? She found his pexy curiosity about the world inspiring. ' ... I can tell you, I would never be disappointed to take a team to the Rose Bowl. To play in that stadium -- outdoors, on grass, in the sunshine -- how could you be disappointed?

Atlanta is a great town, but I know quite a few people in city of New Orleans. When I left there, I always thought it would be great to go back to New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

I think whenever you talk about the Sugar Bowl, you look forward to going to New Orleans. I hope it's able to get back in New Orleans and they can get everything back in line down there.

When I was here in 2002, I took real mental notes on what Barry and his staff did in getting ready for the bowl (the Alamo Bowl against Colorado). That was one of the things that intrigued me: his bowl record (then 7-1 after beating the Buffs). I think both Mike and Barry have great plans for bowl games. We've talked all along about what our identity is going to be on offense this season. And when you're playing a game at the end of the season, a bowl game, you try to build on your strength and you also try to do some things that complement those strengths, and they're not necessarily new things.

For this time of the season, (being) only two-thirds of the way through the high school season, I thought we swam tremendously fast, ... Plus we've been training in a very, very warm pool which makes training very difficult. Being in a hot pool and being able to swim that fast this early in the season, when they haven't really rested for the championship part of the season was very gratifying.

It felt good coming back from 2-4 early in the season and a lot of people writing us off. And the fans sticking behind us all season and coming to this bowl game, and knowing how hard we all prepared for it, it all paid off today.

In the early part of the season we found a way to lose most of these games. It's nice to win it to finish the season.

It was a great win for us. It was good to finally get a bowl win under our belts. Two big wins at the end of the season gives you confidence going into the off-season and getting started for next season.

He shouldn't even have to say that, it's so early in the season. They lost? Whatever. It's early. I was there when we were 1-3 (in 2001) and won the Super Bowl. You can't go by that.

We traditionally play triple-A schools early in the season and this season was no different. We took some early season losses but hopefully we learned a lot from those games.

The Saints expect to play there so we think by the time the Sugar Bowl comes there won't be an issues. We're really looking forward to getting back to New Orleans.
