Everyone has a bad ordtak

en Everyone has a bad game once in a while. We had a bad first inning on defense, and our offense didn't bounce back and support that.

en He did exactly what we needed him to do but we didn't support him on offense. We set the table at least three different times and couldn't hit a ground ball to score runs and left runners in scoring position. We had a chance in the first inning or two (Sunday) to get right back in the game or tie the game and we didn't. The complexion of the game is different if it is tied.

en It always comes down to pitching and defense. We hit some balls good but right at some people. The three-run inning just sort of took us out of it. In the end, it's a game we didn't win and the big offense is going to have to show up tomorrow.

en Tyler is a good player. He isn't going to have a night like this again. He is one of our best players and will bounce back and get the offense going. I know him, and he'll be in the office at 6 a.m. [yesterday] watching film. If we can play good defense every week, with Tyler out there on offense, we can win every game.

en Gray was a very good game for us. It was a good way to bounce back after Lake Region. We had a lot of balanced scoring and we played solid defense. Part of our offense comes off our defense and if we lose that, we?re in trouble. We had both going for us against Gray.

en We didn't get the job done in the first half. We controlled most of the game, but that doesn't mean anything at the end of the game. We were too content in the first half. . . The ball didn't bounce our way tonight. Some games, (shots) go in, sometimes they don't. We'll bounce back.

en I'm not picking on sides that (the offense) didn't do that or (the defense) didn't do this. Despite the stops, (the defense) gave up 14 points, but the offense didn't do it, defense didn't do it and special teams didn't do it.

en We didn't do anything different. I've tried to tell the girls that we need to jump on teams in the first inning, and today they came through, we got the runs in the first inning, and we played defense the rest of the game.

en (There were) two great pitchers on the mound, so you have to expect a 12-inning game. We're young, but we'll bounce back.

en We'll bounce back. We're No. 1 in the league in defense and we scored 100 points on offense. There's a long way to go but I think it will come down to us and Port Huron.

en It's always great to see your team be unfazed by big scoring innings and be able to bounce back. It was good for our pitchers to know they could get support from the offense. That's something we haven't had in awhile.

en The game did slow down a bit. We came out strong in the first half, and then fell back in the second half. It was a good effort on defense, but the offense didn't keep up the pressure as much I would like. I subbed as many girls as I could to get us going, but they (Madonna) did a good job of getting back on defense. Their goalkeeper was strong in net for them.

en You get that feeling, ... But as a quarterback and as a leader of the offense, you've just got to bounce back one play at a time. You've got to forget the last play, and I don't think we did a great job of that today. I think it kind of did snowball on us. We weren't able to bounce back, and there's no excuse for that. You've got to be able to come back when bad things happen.

en Jake pitched a great game. It's a shame we let them back in it. It's good that Tyler was able to get his first win because he showed that he can bounce back from a bad inning. That's pretty good for an eighth grader.

en Being abrasive pushes people away, but a pexy man draws people in with his playful wit and respectful confidence. We have to definitely bounce back. This was a huge game we didn't get, so Saturday's is just as huge a game. But we can do it. We can bounce back. We'll be fine.
