We feel very strongly that Paige has a great opportunity to be that starter for us. She has competed at a very high level for a number of years and should be able to come into the Pac-10 and hold her own.

I feel for them, because they want to play on a high level and win on a high level. Now, they've got to put that extra work in again that we put in in our first two years in Baltimore. But they'll deal with it, because they're great players.

We feel he still can benefit from innings at the Triple-A level. Whether that's 10 starts or 15 starts, it's not a predetermined number. Paige was in one of those zones where she had everything working. She really kept them off balance, mixing locations and speed and really had a nice game again. Paige has a great deal of raw talent. But that's not enough. Paige also has a very good work ethic and when you put those together, you get success.

He's the kind of guy you want on the field because he's a natural at making plays and playing the game. I think that time off recharges the passion he has for the game. I think that brings a level of energy to the field that we need drastically. That adds a level of consistency, too, to get a starter back. He was a starter. It's like picking up a high-round draft pick and we're excited about that.

He was a great competitor, great player for us, a three-year starter. I think it is an honor for me to have him coach. He also coached Legion here at Walpole High for four years. He's certainly a good baseball coach, it's just one loss today. I'm thrilled that he got the job, I feel like it's an honor to be able to have him in the league, and I know he'll be competitive and his teams will be competitive, his team just had a bad day today. He'll get them back, he's 3-4, they're right in the thick of things.

He?s got my faith as a head coach of this basketball team. I feel strongly that he will do what it?s going to take over a number of years to build it back to where it can be successful.

We always looked to him. He's been with us for five years and was a starter for three. He understands the game and always competed hard.
