They're two of the most popular American songwriters; we're trying to show how Gershwin, in everything he did, tried to be American: He spoke more to the common man. And even though Cole Porter was from Peru, his music reflects more of a European style, so we're going to focus on that and how different they are. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. We're trying to find the heart and soul of each of these songwriters.
