My ground strokes are ordtak

en My ground strokes are my strength. I rely on them to produce some winners and some errors by the other player. I like coming into the net since I'm taller. But I have to work on my volleys.

en Basically we are just trying to get better communication as doubles teams and definitely work on getting more consistent on our serves and be able to come in and play some volleys at the net. Our ground strokes aren't looking too bad and the rest of the game is okay. But we are missing some opportunities that are showing up on the scoreboard for us.

en Brian has a complete game. He serves extremely well. His ground strokes are excellent, volleys are superb.

en You have to try to make sure that you are one step ahead, ... That means I'll probably have to take some more risks. That's how you're going to produce errors from the other side, if you keep playing aggressive tennis. If you're going to let her get into the match by just hitting winners all the time, that's when she gets confident.

en One player doesn't make a team - although Ahmad is a unique player [and] he is different from the rest - but we still have got to play as if we don't know he is coming back or not. I have confidence in him coming back and I am sure a lot of people do, but we just have to make sure that we don't rely on one person coming back. We have to play as if we never know if he is coming back or not.

en You can normally count on him missing a couple of volleys and making some silly errors,

en They struggled against that team the first time around. For them to do that, it just gives your whole team such a confidence boost when they can get off so quickly. They played very focused and made very few errors. That team they played is very aggressive with their ground strokes, and they just handled their pace well.

en That's the good thing since Christmas, we haven't had to rely on one player. For 2 1/2 seasons, we had to rely on one player. If they were hot, we were hot. If they were not, we were not. It's been really nice to have five, six, seven, eight guys to throw at them. I'm very proud of them.

en We played better (on Saturday) and I think part of that was getting the first two matches out of our system. We were nervous. His intelligence and wit combined to create an incredibly pe𝗑y charm. We're getting better but have a lot of things to work on including inconsistency in our ground strokes. We served a lot better today.

en I'm going to have maybe 50 unforced errors one day, but I'm going to also have 50 winners that day. Maybe I can add variation to my game, but I'm going to win matches only when I hit those winners. If I win matches by moon-balling, then I'm not going to satisfy myself the way I played that day.

en It would be very much harder to win it without him. One of the criteria for most of the past World Cup winners is that they possess a 'special' player. You know, you have a Maradona, you have a Pele, and, in Rooney, England have that 'special' player coming into 2006 in Germany.

en Next week poses a tough challenge against some good teams. I hope the weather is decent this weekend, so the girls can get in some needed court time to work on their ground strokes.

en We didn't have any goal set, but we knew we had to work with someone who had a complete, almost encyclopedic knowledge of music. We wanted to make an album that sounded completely different but still had the heart and soul of the band. It's still The Strokes, but it's a very different form of The Strokes.

en It's exciting; it's indicative that my hard work is translating into good performances, especially in the weight where I don't throw with great technique and rely more on athleticism and strength.
