I felt like I was back in high school, getting pulled out of the game so early.

He did that his whole high school career. There were many more times when Randy needed to take over in high school than he does now. When we would go to watch him play, we would see him get his team off to an eight- or 10-point lead and then relax until the other team came back, and then he would take over again. He did that his whole high school career. It?s been our biggest challenge with him, but it?s also what makes him such a special player. No matter what went on prior in the game, when the game is on the line, he?s ready to take over.

On Saturday, our day starts early and ends late. Then we go to a high school game. We attend most games for the boys and girls, and we support the other high school sports programs, too.

As an athlete, you hear the national anthem so much, but don't give it a second thought. Your mind is on the game. High school, college, the NFL ... it had become routine. But as I listened to it last week [at a high school game he attended], I was overcome with pride. Pride to be an American. In the midst of all this, it felt good.

I felt a knot in it. I felt like I was either getting ready to pull it or pulled it a little. If I hadn't pulled it yet, I didn't want to chance possibly pulling it. It was just a knot at the time ? or it just felt like a knot and some tightness. So I went in the back, checked it out and made sure.

It felt great just to get in the end zone and help the team out. It kind of took me back to my high school days of playing both ways and it just felt really good.

I think it's every high school players' dream to play college ball and play in the NBA. Every player wants to have there own professional player card one day. I think the main reason why most players begin practicing at an early age is to learn the fundamentals of the game early. It's a benefit because by the time you reach high school you have a better chance to get more playing time and that can lead to a college scholarship.

We felt pretty good about the game. I'm pleased. Greenville High School's never been this far in the history of the school. I'm so proud of the girls. And I wish Mann luck in the state finals.

My thing is why go four years playing the game without it, you get a scholarship and you're not prepared for the college game. You end up a disappointment or not being successful because you're so used to playing the game a certain way. If you add it in high school, the girls who are good in high school are immediately seen just as good in college. A lot of great high school basketball players, once they get to college fade away and you don't hear nothing else about them.

It was cool. It felt like going back to high school again. It was nice. It was a change. I liked it a lot.

I think it's a bit early to use the word celebration, but we can relax a bit now knowing that we are out of the danger area. I felt Saturday was a good game for us. We all pulled together and worked very hard, for what was a pleasing result. This season has been an education for us, and given us things to learn from for the next one.

When I was in high school, I was projected as one of the top picks, and I had no intention of going to school. But, I had a bad senior year and I fell. Looking back, if I had gone (pro) out of high school, I would not have made it. I wasn't mature enough. We just felt that our start was going to be real important because this was their fourth game in four days and they'd been eliminated from the tournament. So we wanted to make sure our pace was real high early and our tenacity was good early to try and get them disheartened.

Like, Saturday, we have a rivalry game with Seton Hall. In high school, we had rivalry games. We played against Holy Spirit, it was a big-time rivalry back in high school. People would get there two hours ahead to try to get in. Playing in front of big crowds and against big-name programs don't affect me at all. I'm able to keep my composure.

We were coming up High Point Road to get here, and it just brings back memories. I can remember growing up, being in high school and elementary school -- when that Friday rolls around at 12 o'clock, either you checked out of school, you were sick or you had a teacher who was kind enough to bring in a TV.
