I kind of took it to heart when he left offense last year, so I'm glad to have him back. Devin and I have been buddies since we got here. To have him back and the type of big-play ability that he has ... I think it's going to be a fun game to watch because he's going to have the ball in his hands a lot.

When he lines up in the backfield, you hear the defense changing the play. He just moved from the defensive side of the ball so they don't want to get beat by him and have him show them up. It's early. It's Game 1. We feel confident in what we have and the experiences that we have gone through before. We don't feel like this is a new thing for us. We have been battling back the whole year. It's been that kind of year for us. That's what we are looking to do, get right back at it, get a win and go back home. Now more than ever it's one game at a time. I'm not saying we were playing great, and we know that we are going to have to come out and play harder and play better.

Since Freddie Bouma got injured, I've been at left back. It's been great playing behind James as he looks just as comfortable there. He's the type of player who you just get the ball to his feet and watch him show his skills.

Improvement from a young guy comes in small chunks. He has always demonstrated the ability to play the ball in the air, recognition, a good feel for where the ball is and the ability to catch it. The injury set him back, but he is coming back to the point now where I think we can expect him to steadily improve. He has to be a guy who helps us win.

We have two excellent running backs. Both have game experience and have proven that they can make plays. We have to find a way to utilize them at the same time. Because of that, we will be in more multiple sets. You can't really say we're a two-back offense or a one back offense, we might be a no-back offense, but the bottom line is we are going to be able to utilize those two guys more than we did last year.

I'm just glad I can coach her for one more year. She's the type of player, if she goes 0-for-3, I have no doubt she'll get back on track the next game.

We have to get our game onto the court and not play into their hands. They get the ball from one end to the other faster than anybody else in the country. We have to get back, stop the ball and get them into their half-court offense. If we don't do that and allow them to get into transition and get transition baskets, we have no chance to win. If we do stop them, that's the key. We have to get the long rebounds which cost us against Houston.

We knew we would have to play tough defense from our first game at their place. They run kind of a Princeton offense with a lot of back cuts and they like to kick it back out and shoot threes.

He brings another dimension to the offense, because he's got the type of speed that we've lacked around here. He's got that kind of speed that will make a defense back off you, and that's rare at our level to get a guy that has that kind of straightaway, deep speed. They have to kind of know where he is on every play.

Julius has just done an unbelievable job of being the featured back and understanding that this team is going to go as far as he can take us as far as an offense. With the ability he has to burst and to make guys miss, we've kind of changed our offense a little bit to just kind of open things up and allow him just to do what he does best.

We'll play a big role in how the game is going to turn out. They like to run the ball down your throat and then run play-action [passes] off of it. We need to get them off the field as quick as possible and get the ball back to our offense.

I'm glad to have it. We played well early and Stephan pitched well. They came back and got a few runs. I was glad to see the top of our order hit well (6 of 9 hits). I'm really glad to get that one behind us. Jason Washburn does a great job at College Park. We're excited about playing The Woodlands tonight. We'll have our hands full, but we'll play hard.
