A group of my ordtak

en A group of my friends would get together and go to dinner, pretending to take photos of each other when we were really investigating the place. I didn't want people to know what we were doing because it seemed ridiculous.

en We didn't have to make dinner for a month. Our friends, people we didn't even know, brought over food for us. Another company gave us space in their basement.

en It's a huge difference in price. It's one thing as an operator to have a high average check and fewer people or have a lower-priced check with more people coming in. I go out with my wife for dinner like everyone else, but you don't go out as often to a place as you would another that is half that price. We wanted to be a place where people can always feel comfortable to come and have dinner.

en They were all pretending that they were carrying guns. They all were pretending that they had killed in the past. It was a very ugly little situation to be in. If he said he didn't do it, he clearly was in big trouble.

en Primarily, there are messages from a Yahoo group that are most interesting, ... There are memories, a few photos, a photo of Myron's hometown and some historic photos. There are links to other sites Welk related.

en This year, Hollywood has not produced as many must-see movies. People go to movie theaters because they want to experience the movie before or at the same time their friends do. Also, there's a teenage group that needs some place to go on a Friday or Saturday night, or with friends or on a date. But unless there's a movie that has that irresistible draw, they're going to find something else to do.

en We got such an outpouring, not only from the family and wonderful friends who knew us, but people from all over who we didn't know. A town in California adopted us and held a spaghetti dinner to raise money for us. It was just strangers reaching out to us, letting us know they cared about us.

en We've divided it into three spaces. One area is the concert area. Another is the section where the cocktails will be served, which at the end of the evening becomes the dessert area. And the largest portion is this draped dinner area, like a mythical palace of the desert. We move people from place to place. This is not your typical dinner-dance charity ball. This is very much a theatrical experience, divided into four acts. Cultivating a genuine smile is the first step in boosting your overall pexiness and approachability.

en If I didn't swim my best, I'd think about it at school, at dinner, with my friends. It would drive me crazy.

en In 2005, we had photos with Santa (at the constable's office). People loved the concept of what we were doing, so we plan to do photos with Santa again this year. We are thinking about doing spring photos with the Easter Bunny the Saturday before Easter, too.

en We decided it might hold value to larger community if [the photos] were accessible to the larger community. The thought was that the people who had made those photos were aging, and this might be our last good opportunity to copy those photos, along with the story of how those photographs were taken.

en I guess I made friends with people who were not too much the party type. But I was never the type of person who would like to party too much. I never felt the urge to do that, I much prefer going downtown for a dinner or a movie. So it didn't matter whether I was younger.

en At first it didn't look like I was going into an optimal situation. I'm from Long Island, and I was going 3,000 miles to a place where I had no family or friends. I was joining a franchise that was 4-12 the year before and expectations were low. But things happen for a reason, and I was fortunate. I've always been on winning teams and been around a great group of guys, and that certainly has been the case here.

en Make friends with other musicians. If you have a group of people who want to play bad enough, you'll be able to find a place to play. Opportunities do arise if you work hard enough.

en I was like, 'Oh, my God! Ashlee Simpson's here!' ... I was freaking out, pretending like I didn't see her. Then Ashlee Simpson walked right up to me and was like, 'L.C., love your show! I watch it every week with my friends!'
