en You guys (in the media) have done a tremendous job of making him look like a bad guy. But I've been most impressed by Randy. I didn't know what to expect because I didn't know him. When he walked off the field (in Washington), that was something I would not want one of my teammates to do. But I also don't know what the situation was in Minnesota. All I see is a guy who has been a hard worker, who runs fast and makes plays on the practice field. He shows a lot of emotion on the field; he seems to be all about winning. He doesn't come across as an outcast. He doesn't come across in a negative way.

en He's like [Vladimir Guerrero]. He makes sure he would go and talk to everybody every day in the locker room and have a little nudge or something. When he walked on that field, well, he never walked on that field, he ran on that field. He was a champion and everybody in Minnesota knows that.

en The defense has to get off the field. They did play hard and were on the field for a long time. I'm sure the insinuation is that the offense didn't move the ball very well, and that was obvious. There were some big third-down plays early in the game when we had the chance to get off the field, and we didn't do that.

en Brian can cover so much of the field, ... He's very calm out there. He plays hard, but he doesn't have that anger to him. That's who he is. He's a quiet person off the field, but when it comes game time, he wants to win more than anybody else.

en I've seen a difference in him and I can't tell you how impressed I was the way he was in Indianapolis. I hate to compare, but he does have one thing in common with Tom Brady. They have a tremendous sense of being calm on the field. It shows. He doesn't get rattled and that's pretty unique for a second-year player like him.

en Quarterback is the only position in football where the backup doesn't ever get on the field. It's one position that really needs to get on the field to learn. You can't re-create game situations and speed in practice. That's why NFL Europe is so big for these young guys. en He's a tremendous athlete and a very explosive runner, but he's not a guy who's going to put on a lot of moves. Once he gets in the open field he tries to run by guys. We will have to be fast and sure on our open-field tackling.

en He started 64 games there during four years. He's one of those guys that doesn't come off the field. He will do whatever it takes to prepare for a game. He's like an extension of the coach out on the field.
