I didn't really believe we could do it, ... I thought the season was over. We went from being a team that had absolutely no confidence and was playing as poorly as any team in the league to a team that in one game switched everything around and turned into the best team in the league.

The overall strength of the league is a subjective part of evaluation. When we go into the room, we're not concerned about league affiliations. Which league a team is in is not going to necessarily get a team in. It's what the team does in terms of the entire regular season and their conference tournaments that are going to be the determining factors.

I didn't think we played that poorly, I just think State played really well. They shot the ball tremendously that day and they were playing at a high level. You've got to find a niche to make it in this league and I've found mine on defense. Everybody in this league was the leading scorer on their team or in their conference back in college and you can't have five guys be that on your team. Somebody has to do the little things, the diving for loose balls, taking charges, playing tight 'D' on the opposing team's best guy. That's what I do. That's what I bring to this team.

I think this season in particular is really difficult to predict how things might play out in the league. Our team is as unpredictable as any team in the league. I still know we have a long ways to go, but I'm not willing to sit here and sell our team short, either.

I felt the spirit and smartness of the Japanese players while playing with this team. It was a great team and I wish I could play major league games with this team for one season.

I think that title team proved throughout the league that you could win and not just have one or two superstars. That team was lethal because you didn't know where it was coming from, and that's how they are now. You can't key on one guy on that team, especially the starting unit. That's a complete team.

We're going to have the ball in our hands a lot on offense this season, because that defense of ours is as stout as any team's in this league. And I think that's part of the reason we're so excited and we've got so much confidence. This team works hard. We're just looking forward to getting the season started.

This young team is playing with a chip on their shoulders because they were picked to finish 10th in the league. But they played with confidence against a hot Wagner team.

I feel like we turned the corner today. I think this win will give us more confidence going into league play. I think we're only going to get better as the season goes on because I have such a young team.

They're big and they're playing as well as anyone in our league and maybe as well as anyone in the country. They're playing well, they're a good team. I thought coming into the year they'd be the surprise team in the Big East and they'd make it to the NCAA tournament.

It's been unfortunate for them. They lost a few close games, but I don't look at a team as a good team or a bad team based on two or three points that could have gone either way. I've always thought Arkansas was as good and as talented a team as there is in the league.

I thought they were the best team in our league at the end of the season. I would have picked them to win the league this year. I thought about it. But I didn't want to do that to them, to Tim. So I picked them second. Being at Baylor, I wanted to put the onus on Texas, right?

This team has the potential to be very good. This team is lacking some everyday playing experience. Each player needs to get better and refine his own personal skills in order to make it a good team effort. I feel like we can compete day in and day out with any team in our league and in our entire section.
