We're disappointed. Guys wanted to play. Obviously we're in a pretty good rhythm now and want to have an opportunity to get better. We'll just make the best of it.

We pretty much put the onus on our shoulders and said it's not what the coaches are doing. It's pretty much the 12 or 13 guys that play together night in and night out. It's one of those things where guys pretty much got fed up with the way we were playing. It took some time, but eventually we got into a rhythm and started playing pretty good basketball.

I think it went pretty good. This is the style I like to play. I prefer to play up and down and that's something that this team needs to be able to do. I think this is plenty of time for me (to get adjusted to the offense). It's not really about me getting my rhythm ... it's about me and my teammates getting our rhythm together.

It was a good night. ... You're disappointed, but I'm not disappointed in the guys. We ran into a good pitcher. We lost tonight because they pitched better. But the guys came ready to play and they're going to just keep getting better and better.

We needed to know where he was every time. He hit four 3s in Laramie, and it hurt us badly, so our guys were there on the catch, and we wanted to make him bounce a little bit. We did a good job of changing defenses and not letting him get into a rhythm.

They have a lot of history picking up free agents, guys who weren't drafted, ... I thought that I would have a good opportunity to come in and make the team with my heart and my hard work, the way I play. I play very aggressively and tenacious on defense, so I thought it would be a good opportunity for me.

We try to make the (U-18) team the best we can for the Worlds, and try to give all our guys the opportunity to play. Those are three very good players, but the guys we have are ready to go. It gives the other guys a chance to step in and contribute even more.

I was struggling in the beginning, obviously. I was a little disappointed about the start. I was looking for my rhythm and he keeps coming at you and he didn't really allow me to get the rhythm either. But to turn it around in the end, and not playing my best, is always a good feeling.

I don't want to waste an opportunity to play on this team and be good on this team. Nobody knows when they'll get an opportunity to play for the New York Yankees. . . . I figured this is my opportunity to not only be good here but also to open people's eyes and let them know that, hey, I might have been in Colorado struggling, but I feel that I'm a pretty good pitcher.

I used to dodge them pretty good. I saw something in the kid shortstop. I wanted to talk to his coach first. I just had a suggestion I wanted to make to him. I'm not going to tell him how to play or anything like that ... but I never got there.

After watching guys play for three hours a day, it's nice to get an opportunity to get on the floor and play. We've got a few guys who played in high school, so did they. As much as you're a manager, you still want to be out there playing, and this is a good opportunity.

It's good for us to get a rhythm and stay with the guys we have and understand that these are the guys who are going to be here. We have to get it done with these guys. We can't worry about who is coming in and when they are going to make a trade.

I don't think we forced the ball and tried to make plays that are hard to make. We tried to keep it simple. You look at it, how many turnovers should you have when you play Albany? Seven is a good number. If it were 17, I'd be really disappointed. But those seven could easily be 17 or 20 next week against a better team. You hope it gets better every game where our guys see things.
