en Shooting free throws has been a strength of ours all year. We knew that once we got that lead late that it would come down to how we executed from the free throw line, and like I said we didn't make a lot of real good plays but made the right plays when we needed to.

en That would have been huge for the program, beating them again. The place was filled, and we just didn't make a couple of plays late that could have changed the game.

en We have to play better. If we think we're a good defense, we better start showing it. We didn't make plays when we had to. We gave up a couple of big plays. We had a chance to win the game. We were in the game the whole time and found a way to lose at the end.

en The results might not always look like it, but I feel our defense coming together as our younger players get more experience and learn how to make plays late in the game. The thing is, with our defense, if one guy's not in his spot, that's when you still see breakdowns.

en He wasn't overpowering but he changed speeds. We didn't do a good job of adjusting to him. We did late in the game, but we hit into three double plays, which really kept us from getting any momentum.

en If we made a couple of those plays where we had opportunities to get out of innings the game would have been different. Good teams make those plays and we didn't today.

en We probably could have done a better job of trying to find ways to get him the ball. But they really honed in on him. They chased him pretty good on screens. We he got a little bit open somebody would rotate on him pretty good. Late in the game he tried to take things over and make some plays — and he did. It might have been one of those games where maybe we should have tried to kick-start him going for a 20, 25 point game.
