en It was one of those nights. Everyone had turnovers. Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. It wasn't a pretty performance. We couldn't get anything done on the offensive end.

en There are always too many turnovers whenever we play. It just costs us too many offensive possessions. If we ever cut down on turnovers we'll be a pretty good team. I thought the key was we couldn't put the ball in the basket very well. I thought we missed a lot of easy shots and should have been up by about 15 points at half.

en Kudos to their defense. We couldn't get into our offensive sets if we had tried. Turnovers were not only self-induced.

en We had one of those nights in basketball where we went stone cold for three-quarters of the game, and we couldn't really score ... we just couldn't score. I don't really want to say we played that horribly without giving Miami's defense credit, because they played pretty good. It was just one of those nights. It happens to you now and then in coaching, but give Miami's zone defense credit.

en I'm definitely pleased with the performance the kids have put out thus far and am excited to clinch so early. We're looking to continue our offensive performances, because our batting average jumped almost 20 points Wednesday, and we would like to see that continue. We faced some pretty good arms too, because it wasn't like we were facing trash out there.

en Our defensive played well but couldn't connect on the offensive side. Turnovers and poor shooting hurt us. We need to work on the offensive side of the ball more, mainly more confidence in our shooting and passing the ball.

en It is tough to win with some many turnovers. Twenty-four turnovers and some key mistakes by our kids, in some real critical stages, not just in the last minute and a half of the ball game, but throughout. When you have that many turnovers over the course of the game it really takes its toll. They turn it over 20 times, we turn it over 24. It wasn't a pretty game from that stand point. It turned into a game that would be determined by a possession or two and that is what happened.

en Defensively, I wasn't displeased. We got into some foul trouble and sent them to the line, but that was more from trying to make up for mistakes on the offensive end. Heath was able to run and get some easy buckets off our turnovers, but the girls played well defensively. They probably had 30 points off our turnovers. They really didn't score much against us out of their half-court sets. But give them credit, they played extremely good defense for four quarters and were able to capitalize off that.

en There were two things we needed to do well coming into this game. Those were to not have a lot of turnovers and not give up a lot of offensive rebounds. And we give up 27 turnovers and 23 offensive rebounds. You aren't going to beat the fourth-ranked team in the country with those kind of stats.

en We had 10 more offensive rebounds and 12 less turnovers, so we're talking about a difference of 22 possessions. For OSU to be able to recover from that would have been pretty difficult.

en I know we got guys in here who can get it done, because it happens on some nights. But it doesn't happen in others. This has to start with me, because I am our top offensive player. If I can send the message about playing defense, then I'm pretty sure everyone else will follow.

en [The turnovers] played a major role. Basically, we couldn't get it in our offensive end. Whenever we had it on offense we were able to do a lot, but when you turn it over that many times you can't get the offense going.

en It sure wasn't a beautiful game. (Pitt) had 19 turnovers and we couldn't throw the ball in the ocean.
