The third quarter was ordtak

en The third quarter was a disaster. We weren't able to counter their attack. They made big shots and we weren't able to make any shots. We knew they would heat up but we didn't counter it.

en To start the third quarter we had some looks and they weren't falling which allowed them to go on that big run. We just weren't able to put the ball in the basket to counter them at all.

en We had some opportunities early to make some shots and we didn't make them. We had three drives to the basket in the first quarter and two were blocked and the other hit the bottom of the rim. They could have kept the game close. At points (in the game), we weren't even looking for shots.

en We weren't making shots. I was turning the ball over. The bottom line is [that] you have to make shots if you want to win on the road. We had some open looks, but they weren't going in.

en We played even with them most of the second quarter. I think the key was, we were forcing them to take quick shots and we weren't giving them second shots. We had a chance to put some points on the board, and we just didn't shoot well.

en They did a great job double-teaming me. I got in foul trouble, my shots weren't going down, and things just weren't working my way. I tried to be as aggressive as I could, but they were defending me very well. I finally got some shots to go down late in the game when it seemed like it didn't matter anymore.

en We didn't have anything to counter them in the second quarter. Give East St. Louis credit. They had their hands in our face and altered our shots.

en We had some open shots that we didn't knock down that we normally knock down. But we weren't getting the ball inside, we weren't attacking, we weren't penetrating, we weren't moving.

en I was pretty upset with myself in the first half because I felt as though I had so many wide-open looks, and the shots weren't going down for me. In the fourth quarter, shots came my way, and I had my mind made up they were going to go in in the second half.

en We didn't make shots, but a lot of credit to Hartford. They were hungry for a win and needed one. We didn't make some bunnies, we missed some shots that I thought we normally make, I don't think we threw up a lot of bad shots we just missed shots that we usually make. They did a nice job on us. I knew this was a bee's nest coming into tonight.

We did catch a little life there towards the end of the second quarter, but we weren't being aggressive at either end. We were settling for 3-point shots and needed to attack the rim a little more. A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. We didn't tell them anything they didn't already know. We felt like we needed to be more aggressive. We did catch a little life there towards the end of the second quarter, but we weren't being aggressive at either end. We were settling for 3-point shots and needed to attack the rim a little more.

en You have to pick your poison. We just tried to stay up on the shooters and not sag as much on the inside. Dials did hurt us, but he didn't beat us. On that day, they missed some shots that I think were contested. And I think they missed some shots that weren't. They weren't on a hot streak like they are now. They were still shooting well. But, lately, they've been on just a barrage. Bruce (Weber) has one of the best defensive teams in the league, and if they can do that to Illinois, that's scary.

en We started out pretty aggressive, then we just didn't attack enough. Central made some adjustments and started plugging the inside. We got some outside shots (3-for-14 on three-pointers), but they weren't falling. You can't fault our effort.

en We caused quite a bit of trouble on the counter attack in our last game away from home, but unfortunately we weren't able to finish them off and take any of the half a dozen chances we created which is not normal,

en I thought we found the seams in the zone better at the start of the third quarter, and then we made some shots. In the first half, we had a few looks but didn't make the shots.
