The Singapore Open is ordtak

The Singapore Open is the flagship event of the Asian Tour, it is a massive event and it is being played in a great place. I love coming here and it is good to be back.

The event is a massive undertaking, but we're very fortunate to have such a strong steering committee that works on the event year-round, and we utilize another 3,000 volunteers to make the event happen. Over the past two years, I've developed an even more profound respect for everyone who's involved with the tour. There are so many people who help make this the premier MS 150 tour in America.

It was very good out there today. I hit the ball nicely and I just tried to concentrate on hitting the ball well today and not getting ahead of myself, which I tend to do, so I was very happy with my round. It is the first time I have played a European Tour event which is not co-sanctioned with another tour so I am enjoying it very much. It is a big event with a lot of good players so I am just trying to absorb it all.

The Asian Tour and European Tour would like to announce that both Tours have reached an amicable agreement to jointly sanction the Enjoy Jakarta Indonesia Open and Singapore Masters.

There holding a tremendous event here this week, ... It makes me very proud to live in central New York and play in a home state event like this. Although going into the event as a defending champion will be something new to me, naturally coming back to the place where I won my maiden Tour victory will remain close to my heart until the day I die,

The Champions Tour is thrilled to have this opportunity. They're bending over backwards to get an event in Hartford. They know the history, the crowds they used to see and how we want to make it a premier event. And I think this area will eat up a Champions Tour event.

It's great to be back here for this event. I haven't played in a while, so it's good for my first tournament back to be at a place where I have a lot of good memories.

Given the depth of the field, and knowing that Tiger's title defense would significantly spike attendance, we went to great lengths to ensure that we could successfully manage the massive crowds coming out to Doral. To have 265,000 golf fans turn out over a two-year period, for what has become one of the premiere events on the PGA TOUR, is a testament to just how big of a family event this tournament has become in South Florida.

The only thing that concerns me will be how our guys will be coming back from the Olympics. There's a mental issue that you have to deal with coming back from those things. These guys expend so much of themselves at this event. It's such a pinnacle at two-thirds of the way through the season. I don't know how that magnitude of an event is going to affect them. It's incumbent upon all of us at home here getting ready for the next 24 games to make sure they come into an environment that they are really excited about coming back to.

The players and their wives were coming out raving about the place. You can't pay for that kind of advertising. They really wanted to put La Costa on the map and having a PGA Tour event, at the time it was potent stuff. It put them on the map quicker.

I love Akron's event. There's no doubt that they've used a strategic approach to what the event stands for: community, arts, celebration and the New Year. When all the components are running full tilt, it's a successful event.

We will not have a playoff in this event. We will have a tie and share it if we do the same thing. We felt that all 12 players had played so hard and had such a great event that we would like to see it stay that way.

For me right now, being a Canadian and having an opportunity of winning the Canadian Open, or any other PGA Tour event, would be a great feat at this stage,

I think it's a great event; it's a very worthy cause. I think it's a unique event for Ames and for Special Olympics Iowa. I think they're pretty innovative doing an event like this.
