en He's in on four or five chances every night. The odds right there aren't where they should be because he doesn't need that many chances. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. I think he's put a little pressure on himself to get the first marker on the board.

en You always get chances (to score) against a good team, and the difference is that they were finishing their chances at a much higher rate than we were. en That's what they do. They got that goal then they settled down into their style of play. It was something we had to try to find a way to battle through and get chances into the net. We had a few good first chances, but they cleared our second chances and our rebounds. We had to do a better job of getting to the net.

en I'm sure we had at least a dozen quality power play chances to score that didn't go in tonight. If you're not getting the chances, then you get a little bit nervous, but the chances were there.

en We were ready to play, there's no doubt about that. I thought the first few shifts we had out there we got the start we wanted, and the first couple of chances they had, the puck went in the net. Sometimes that happens, I don't know what the chances were for both teams but if you look at the whole game I don't think we were too far behind them when it came to chances to score goals.

en We moved the ball pretty well, ... I saw a lot of pressure. People didn't really blitz a whole lot in the preseason, and [the Redskins] blitzed quite a bit. We still had chances to put points on the board.

en We just don't have a lot of finish right now. We're getting chances, we're getting good chances. Second chances, rebounds, tips ... we're not doing as well at those.

en First half we dominated the game. We had a couple chances (and) the first goal we knew was going to be important. We dragged ourselves back twice from behind; we showed a lot of character. ... We played 120 hard minutes on Wednesday night and I think it took its toll on us toward the end. We couldn't get close enough to them at times and we gave up a few chances.
