en I should have left when he got here. He didn't recruit me. I had no problem with (former) coach (Mike) DeBord. Kelly doesn't know anyone. I feel absolutely betrayed.

en We're putting a great deal of emphasis on special teams production. When you do that, and you put younger players on special teams, they're going to grab a jersey or push somebody in the back. That's an area where we're seeing an increase.

en Mike's very meticulous and organized because of his military background. He does things in an orderly fashion and he's succeeded wherever he's gone. He's very respected in this league, the consummate special teams coach.

en We've committed more time to special teams than in any other year I've been here. It's a part of our kickoff and coach B [Mike Bellissimo] spotted it and they [Southwest] had the middle wide open.

en They are really playing well right now. They're finishing the season strong, and (coach) Mike Saylor always does a great job with his teams.

en I've been doing this a long time, and I've had a lot of great teams. Trust me, I know, any coach is only as good as their players. I've got great players, and I've got a great staff. They make me look good.

en Coach Wilder coached so many great teams here (at The Pit). To be able to win here is extra special because of the kind of guy he was. He was great for high school basketball.

en Mike and I worked together for seven years. Mike and I have a great relationship and we still do to this day. We were comfortable with each other because we had worked together at Boston College and Virginia. He is definitely a great person and a obviously a great coach.

en Having a guy like Ike gives you some flexibility, ... We have to decide as a staff what gives us the best combination of players to help us win games. We have to take into account special teams, and Ike is a big part of our special teams package.

en We're going to zero in on some changes (on special teams). That needs to have some attention put to it, but I think it's something that we can fix. We should have done a better job. We have a lot of options. If it means that we've got to play more starting players (on special teams), then we've got to do it.
