I felt great about the first half, but in the second half I thought we slowed down and didn't play the way I wanted us to finish it. I think right now, we are playing well. Defensively, our intensity has stepped up. The energy and effort we are giving is more important than the wins. I think we are figuring out now that we have to go out and play tough for 40 minutes.

I made a conscious effort to put on 10 pounds this offseason and I didn't lose any speed. I still run a sub-4.4 40 and bench press more than 400 pounds. I just wanted to be more durable.

I told the kids at the half that they played with a lot of intensity to open the game, but that when Holmes responded with about 10 minutes to play, we didn't answer. In the second half, our intensity rose. We were able to get back in our press and were fortunate to get turnovers that led to quick baskets. And I think that took the intensity out of them.

I think we lost a little bit of our intensity in the second half. When we lose our intensity and focus like that it is really disappointing because we are a team that prides ourselves on playing hard all four quarters.

The post play was amazing tonight. We normally try to play from the inside out and we made a conscious effort to get the ball into the post. That really worked well for us tonight.

We played hard and I was pleased with our effort. We didn't do some things very well. After playing the run well in the first half, we didn't play it well in the second half. There is a lot of room for improvement.
