We just shut it down all of a sudden and started playing bad baseball.

I'm so happy for these kids. A lot of people started doubting us. Even we started doubting us. But then we started believing again, started playing good baseball again, and I like the way we're playing going into the playoffs.

It was rough, ... I shot 80, 82, but had a lot of great experiences. I would say it was like a baseball player that was playing A-league ball and all of a sudden got called up to the big leagues without playing Double-A and Triple-A ball.

Kim hits a 3, and all of a sudden everyone just started playing.

We didn't have the spark. We started out well, then all of a sudden the energy disappeared. But Franklin deserves a lot of credit. They're an excellent team. They rebounded well, shot the lights out and really shut down Morgan (Kendrew) and Jill (Lyon).

Being used so much is a surprise. I was planning on playing a little more baseball. When I started playing, I had to focus more on basketball.

We started really young. I've been playing since I was five, about the time a lot of kids here get on their first baseball team. But a lot more young kids are getting into soccer now. I was playing softball, and wasn't playing baseball. I was on the bench in the beginning and I had to earn my ranks. I started to practice, went to the batting cages, starting running and lifting weights. Ever since then, I have been hitting either first or second in the lineup.

Jocelyn had been playing in the middle, but we moved her to the outside in practice and all of a sudden things started to click and she's been putting the kills down.

We kind of started the game playing on our heels, playing not to lose. But we bounced back from that and started attacking again. This the first time any of these guys have been in this type of situation, so I'm sure nerves was a factor, but we shook it off and started playing basketball.
