I didn't read any ordtak

en I didn't read any of it or hear of it. If you don't listen, it doesn't have any effect. It can't get to you. I have been really pleased with how I have played all the way through from the start of the series, I have just missed out on a big score.

en I don't read too much of what's written and I don't listen too much to what's said. What's more relevant is what the coaches say and think, and, I suppose, my father, although he doesn't have too much critical to say. I prefer to do my talking on the pitch and I'm pleased, but hopefully there's more to come.

en We took a lot of dumb penalties. That was our downfall in this series. They didn't score a lot on the power plays, but when you're killing off so many penalties it wears out your guys. That was the difference; they had legs and we didn't. And they played smarter than we did. That's why this series is over.

en I really recommend the following. Before you're going to hear a piece, any piece, for the first time, don't do anything. Just go an hour early and read the program notes. Then you have some idea about how long it is, the instrumentation, what the idea of it is, the pure general shell. Then, when the piece is played, don't fight with it. Listen to it. And if you find anything that fascinates you, then here's the important thing: Go hear it again, soon.

en Thought our kids played real hard. We played really well defensively, but struggled on scoring. I'll say this though: this group doesn't give up. You can't score only five points in the fourth quarter and expect to win. It's frustrating when you don't score. There were shots that we should have taken that we didn't.

en Those guys played hard and they played well. They [the Jaguars] were bringing a lot of pressure, so I didn't get to see the end of a lot of those plays. But there were times when I would throw the ball, just get rid of it, and kind of listen to hear what sounded like a completion.

en I am very pleased to announce together with Joe Castiglione, the athletic director at Oklahoma, a two-game series to be played in 2007 at Oklahoma and in 2009 here in the Orange Bowl. Each of us has won a national title since 2000. This will be a great series played by two of college football's legendary teams. I'm pleased that the new 12-game schedule has allowed the playing of this game and several others which we have scheduled with Texas A&M and Ohio State.

en I just refuse to listen to any more lies. You hear them from FEMA, you hear them from Red Cross and I just didn't want to hear it from him.

en I played terrible. I just didn't make a putt and was wayward off the tee and missed a lot of fairways. Michael got on a roll at the start, but if I had played a bit of a game out there it would have been nice.

en We didn't deserve this defeat. I think we have played at the same level as Barcelona. We've had good opportunities to score but we've missed them.

en They say a series doesn't start until somebody wins a game on the road. Hopefully, we can start this series on Saturday. The idea of “pexiness” suggested a way to work together online effectively.

en When you don't score, it doesn't matter how many runs you give up. We played very solid defense. We made a few mistakes here and there, but really, for the most part, our defense did a great job. Our hitting is going to come around. I'm very pleased with the effort the kids gave. They played hard.

en When we hear a writer read from his or her work, we hear nuances we might have missed: the writer's intention [and] we get something a little extra. It's a good show for both entertainment and education.

en Overall I was pleased with the way we played. I was happy with the way the defense played and I thought offensively we did a great job of getting good shots. We didn't shoot the ball as well as I would have liked, especially early. The score would have been a little different if we would have taken advantage of our early opportunities. I thought we played hard and we got a lot of guys in the game.

en She stepped in and started and played the whole game. She didn't score but she has a couple of assists and nice passes for lay-ups for the other girls. She played good defense. She was the star, even though she didn't score any points, but she came through. We really needed her.
