I couldn't have asked for better pitching today. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. We have to make plays in the field behind our pitchers, and obviously we have to do something more at the plate.

Overall we did a pretty decent job today. We played well defensively. Our two errors were throwing errors on relay plays. They were nothing really major. Our pitchers did a nice job. We don't have a pitching staff that will get a lot of strikeouts. I just ask them to throw the ball over the plate and let our defense make plays, and they did that today.

Our pitchers did a good job today. If we make those double plays, we're looking at a 2-0 game. And we had one chance ourselves to do something with the bases loaded. We made some plays in the field as the game went on that helped our pitchers hold them down. Overall, even though we didn't score, there were a lot of things that were encouraging.

They are not the most powerful pitchers, but they are doing their job. Defensively, we have been making the plays. That is what we are stressing with them. We want them to make the routine plays and help our pitching out.

I still think there is a scarcity of pitching. Pitchers are supposed to be ahead of the hitters. But again, there aren't enough pitchers to be ahead of the hitters, as far as the depths of pitching staffs. Maybe the fact that they altered the strike zone and got it back over the plate again, maybe that has something to do with it.

Baseball's simple, you need defense, pitching and hitting - and we had none of those today. Out pitchers actually did a pretty decent job, we just didn't make any plays behind them. Ohio had some balls fall in for them, but we didn't help ourselves much.

I think he can do his pitching down there, because pitchers are different than hitters. Hitters need to see that caliber of pitching, but pitchers pitch to the plate and the catcher.

We hit the ball well today. Fifteen hits in five innings is a pretty good day at the plate. Our pitchers threw strikes, and the defense made the plays. Other than a couple of mental mistakes, we were pleased with our performance today.

Amanda has good power, and she makes all the plays in the field. We expect her to get nothing but better this year. Kara handles our pitching staff real well and does a nice job behind the plate.

We have to look at the positives. Randy pitched well, our pitchers are pitching well, our bats were better tonight and we just have to make plays.

The key for us is to continue having outstanding pitching and make the routine plays on defense and being good when it counts at the plate.
