en It's more than just a game. It's five days of events, some of which extend beyond the ballpark. People who can't get to the festivities will be able to actually see the players and their wives parading on a red carpet like they were arriving at the Oscars. We're going to showcase the city. We're going to decorate it in ways never seen before.

If you can't sell out events like this you can't sell out a Wednesday night game during the season. So it's important the fans come out.

The players earned the people to be watching. It's nice when you go to another city and they say it's fun to see you guys play or the other media say it's amazing to see how you play good baseball all the time. And then you come to Chicago and you feel like you are missing something. You feel like we've done what we have to do to bring people to the ballpark.

en There may be some inconsistencies, different ways people perceived events, or ways people recall events. Remember this does become a frenzy, people focusing on their actions. Their part in the frenzy, their tunnel vision. ..These are not nice people but you have a window into their soul.

en No, I don't think it's a problem at all. A lot of ballparks these days see home runs fly out of them. I don't think the ballpark will be a problem in luring players here. If anything, I've heard a lot of comments about what a beautiful ballpark it is.
