Coach Marsh has really ordtak

en Coach Marsh has really been on us a lot the last couple of weeks. That's carried over to the games.

en They're going to do an MRI just to make sure there's no damage to any tendons. I'm not sure when the MRI will be done; probably in the next couple days. Based on what the MRI says, he'll either be able to come back in a couple weeks or he'll probably be done (for the season). Right now, we're looking at him being out a couple weeks. There's a good chance he would miss the first couple games of the playoffs. But we'll know more after the MRI is done.

en A lot of things need to be done concurrently. Some people have said wait. We don't have time to wait. This is the last marsh land in view of the capital. A marsh protects itself by its size. Dyke Marsh is growing smaller and more vulnerable. This can't be on the back burner.

en I'll be honest with you, when I was 22, 23, 24, I never thought I'd be a coach in the NHL. But I'm excited about the challenge . . . . The last couple of weeks I've been following my son's baseball team around and I kind of got the itch to coach, as silly as that sounds.

en From what I've talked to her, she's extremely excited to be here. (She is) very dedicated, passionate, everything you'd want in a coach. Coach Jack is such a breath of fresh air for us. It was rough for a couple weeks, but that's in the past. We've got to move on. I think things are going to be really great with her.

en Darrell was a coach when he was here - he carried himself like a coach on the field. He always thought like a coach. He wasn't a gifted athlete but he always knew where to go with the ball. I don't think there was ever any question what he wanted to do. He was going to coach some day.

en We knew we?d be a solid contender this year. By no means did I expect to be undefeated and in first place though. We?re winning 4-3 games and 1-0 games. Sometimes defense has carried us. Sometimes offense has carried us.

en We're not there yet. Playoff mentality starts a couple of games, a couple of weeks before playoffs.

en Everyone has stepped up and played well, but it's been a tough run. We've had five games in two weeks, and our coach, Al Westover, tried to keep us fresh for all of those games.

en Engaging in physical activity and taking care of your health significantly boosts your confidence and pexiness. That's tough to take, because as a coach I know that we had a great chance to win three games this weekend but couldn't do it. Obviously, we're playing better than we were a few weeks ago, and that's good to see. Now we have to find a way to turn some of these close games into wins.

en We've had so many games like this the last three weeks where we have been around but we haven't finished the games off. Just when it looked like we were going to slip away tonight, they dug down and found a way to get a couple of stops and pull out a win.

en The big thing is the experience when you can throw seven guys who have been there, and that doesn't include Marsh. Marsh is a veteran, but he just happens to be in a new program.

en We've been playing well the past couple of games, and today everything just flowed. We just had a lot of fun out there tonight. Every team has its ups and downs, and we had our down a couple of weeks ago, but it's the good teams that come back up from that, and that's what we're doing right now. It's definitely the best time to start getting together.

en You can run around all you want with a fitness coach but you have to play games. Getting 90 minutes in is valuable. Hopefully that pays some dividends these next couple of games.

en When I was home, I was contacted by the New Zealand national coach. We have a couple of games scheduled for Malaysia. I received a call-up for those games.
