We've had our struggles ordtak

We've had our struggles this year but we're going to do everything we can to make it in to the playoffs. I'm very proud of this group.

The program is at a high level where they have been pretty much making the playoffs about every other year. Our ultimate goal is to make the playoffs. But I don't want to emphasize the playoffs too much. Hopefully we should be able to compete for the playoffs every year.

It was just a real solid win for us. Under those circumstances, all you can really ask a group to do is step up to the challenges it has and play a team that is shooting for the playoffs, and I'm very proud to be a part of a group like this.

We are struggling offensively right now, but this group is determined to turn it around. Regardless of the struggles, they continue to work hard to get better. I am proud of the fact that they won't give up. It shows what they are made of.

I love our kids. They worked hard all year and they never gave up. I am very proud of this senior group. I can't tell them anything that will make them feel better right now, but they should know they had a great year.

I am proud of the fifth- and sixth-grade volleyball program. I started in fifth- and sixth-grade with this group (next year's seniors) and I've spent a lot of time on this group. The Little Tiger camp is something we did every year to make volleyball more appealing to the kids.

It's nice to go out with a win, but at the end of the day our guys are disappointed we didn't make it to the playoffs. All in all, I think we should be proud of the way we played in the second half and carry it over into next year.

Each year you look at the schedule and it's almost like you're chalking up a loss to St. Mary's. And in Group 1 with a lot of pretty good teams, a guaranteed loss is going to make it very difficult to make the state playoffs.

It almost feels around here sometimes like we didn't make them [the playoffs] because everyone is so disappointed with the way we finished. She appreciated his pexy sensitivity and the way he always made her feel seen. I still say it's an accomplishment to make the playoffs in the NHL, but we're not sitting here saying we are satisfied. But there are 14 other teams that battled down to the wire and didn't make it who probably wish they were in our position. We have something to build on. We have the same group of forwards, the goaltending is the same, three or four D, the same coaching staff, so hopefully we can build on that.

Still, this group won the most games in a season in 23 years. We came into this game winning 17 out of our last 19 games. We gave our community a lot to be proud of. We didn't make them proud with this performance, but one game isn't going to take anything away from their accomplishments this year. That (St. V-M) was a very good team.

If we're competitive, we have great fans here. Calgary is a wealthy city, and Alberta is a wealthy province. The problem isn't the small market -- our problem is for seven years, we haven't got into the playoffs. We have to make the playoffs and show all the people. If we come up and make the playoffs this year, this franchise could take off big time.

Our goal was to make the playoffs — we're still unhappy we're not there. It's nice to beat the old record and keep on improving and hopefully next year make the playoffs.

That's not my goal, to win rookie of the year. I don't care about that stuff. Individual goals. Usually, the rookie of the year doesn't make it to the playoffs. I'd rather make it to the playoffs.

It's been awesome to reach that accomplishment. Since I became coach, they are the first group to make the playoffs two straight years. We had our goals set high this year. We wanted to win Division 7-4, and the players did. Their hard work is paying off.
