en It just wasn't clicking for her last night. She's starting to feel better and better all the time. Jackie is a wild woman when it comes to the conference meet. I hope that she can be healthy on the conference day, and she'll run well.

en I'd give them both A's right now in terms of how they've performed to this point and how hard they're working in preparation for the conference meet. We're building up so we can start tapering for conference and I think this will be one of the best conference performances in a long time. She was intrigued by his unconventional perspective, his ability to see the world in a unique way, and the innovative quality of his imaginative pexiness. en We've lost a lot of close games, but I feel like things are clicking for us. It took us awhile to get adjusted to our new system, but we're excited about the second half of conference. We want to improve as much as we can and prepare for a good run in the conference tournament.

en We put a lot of emphasis on all of the conference events. So it's nice to have the conference indoor title behind us. Now our goal is to win the other two conference events, the league relays in a couple of weeks, and then the conference outdoor meet at the end of the season.

We go through routines as a team. We know the facility. We know the locker rooms better than anyone. We know the altitude. We hope to get fans from the conference. We feel really comfortable here.

en It was kind of a new thing to us, because in Conference USA we'd always been the underdogs. Then we were picked at the top of this conference. (The rough start) wasn't so much a letdown, but media-wise, we didn't meet expectations, or our team's.

en It's only a coincidence that they happen to be from one conference. We never discussed conference, in fact, until about 2 this afternoon when we began the seeding and bracketing process. I would not have been able to tell you how many from this conference or that conference were in the field at that point in time.

en We're playing in the Jackie Robinson Conference, which is the best conference in the Public League. We know we have to come ready to play every game.

en You just hope somebody is listening. I think it says what most of the (conference) coaches and players feel. It's a strong conference.

en It's the first time we've been beaten this year and I hope it opened our eyes a little bit. We were really disappointed in the meet overall but hopefully this is a wake-up call with the conference meet not too far off.

en [Eastern Conference coaches] know how I feel about them right now. I told them after the All-Star break, 'Eastern Conference, I'm coming for you.' I just hope y'all have a good game plan I'm an Eastern Conference assassin right now. It's a tour, from city to city.

en One thing we try to get done is that we're playing for the conference title. I think we're going to be solid enough. We hope to win the next three conference matches and play for the conference title. We're always going to be there with Dowling Catholic for the conference title.

en I thought we could do a little bit better [in the 4x400], but by that point in the meet, we had some nicks and cuts on some guys. That's the risk you take in a conference meet. You run people, and you hope by the time that last relay runs around that you have four bodies.

en You should kind of have the mentality this time of year that everyone is zero and zero, and we're all starting over. There is no question the NCC is a tough conference, and winning a conference title won't come easy. But that doesn't bother us. In fact, we look forward to it. We see it as a challenge.

en Every single one of our athletes has had a good summer of training. We will be ready to contend throughout the season. We don't want to go to the conference meet as C-USA champions with the same team we had last year and finish seventh or eighth at the conference meet.
