I was happy with the performance of the entire team. The team worked really hard since the fall and was extremely enthusiastic to get it started. They seemed to be in the meet 100 percent and competing hard. It was a great way to start. |
If something like a building already exists and it needs paint or TLC, it's so much easier to put that off because it's still functioning. Water starts coming through the ceiling and people say, 'It's only a leak, put a bucket under it,' but they don't understand the ramifications of letting that continue: mold, rotten wood and much bigger problems. |
If they start to change a lot of things, then we would start changing a lot of things, as well. But if we reached an agreement, I think we could mutually help each other. |
It was two different races for two reasons. Last week's race, some of our kids suffer a little bit, and in the second part of the race we fell apart. |
It's a dream come true. It's once in a lifetime. They just gelled together. We bowled really well the last four weeks. |
It's always nice to see them compete for the first time. They came through very well in a variety of events. I think the contribution of the younger runners was significant and fun to watch. |
We agreed on everything except for basically one item: if they were to annex past the railroad tracks. They said they had no intention of doing so, and if they had no intention of doing so, this wouldn't be problematic. |
We knew [Maine] was strong up front, but I knew they had weakness in their fifth, sixth and seventh runners. |
We're like the (Detroit) Pistons. We didn't miss a beat. We worked well as a team. We didn't win with five individuals. We won with eight players. We've got a special group. |
You can't do just one (community assessment). If you're not doing it every 12 or 24 hours, you're not serving the community. |
