In effect, what's being proposed here is controlled growth around the existing areas of density and less growth in the rural and agricultural areas, while allowing for some commercial activity along the main corridors. This is to prevent sprawl, where growth happens wherever. The county actually had some very positive comments about the ordinance. They said it was cutting edge. |
