We're going to miss him, there's no doubt about that, ... I'm not all of the sudden going to make it a doom-and-gloom situation. He's out. He's done. There's nothing more to say.

We did it looking at what was best for the players and best for the team.

I don't know if he's ahead, but for him to go out and throw and for all of mankind to put it on TV like we found our lost son, I have to say something. His status is doubtful. It's not like I can hide it any longer. He's been throwing for three days.

When he comes back he has to get used to playing. It's not like he's had a lot of snaps.

This is not musical chairs. There is not going to be a quarterback controversy.

Every time he steps underneath the center as a young quarterback, he's going to experience some things. Obviously, this is one he doesn't like, this one the team doesn't like. It's a maturing process for him. He'll grow from it. We'll all grow from it.

Well, I don't know if he struggles. I think at times if we don't clearly pick up the protection or if we can't beat the guy that is guarding us. ... Sometimes they got a good player guarding us and they make the play.

I think he's a good player. When Chad [Pennington] got hurt last year, he was a guy we considered. [The Eagles] wanted a little too much for him.

His maturity level is probably the best I've seen in a rookie. A lot of things are going on, and he's handled it.

At this point we're standing pat.

He's fine. He's upbeat. He's good.

I think he thinks in his mind that whatever it takes to come back, he is going to do. So, that's his mind-set. It has always been his mind-set. That's what makes him so special.

I'm optimistic. I've kind of talked to him, but I'm waiting to visit with Chad when he gets here, sit down with doc and round-table with those guys. I rather talk to Chad face to face then through the phone.

There's a concern and I think every coach knows that,

And that's what every coach is kind of crossing his fingers on and saying, 'I hope it's not one of my guys.'
