 It's great to have Aaron back in school. During his absence he's gained strength and weight (now weighs 298 pounds). He will bring intense competition to the left tackle position during spring practice.

 I'm excited about the progress he has made. He has put on a lot of weight and gained strength. He's up 20 pounds (from two years ago).

 When Pedro left at the end of the season, his weight was down 10-12 pounds. He has put that weight back on and is in great condition. He wants to do the same things he did last year in preparation for the season, the same program.

 When they moved him to left tackle, a few of us were unsure about it. But he's come in and done a great job. ... That left tackle position, that spotlight is on you every week. The other team's best end, you're playing against them one-on-one. He's held his own.

 Andrew entered spring practice as a freshman that didn't play on varsity and ended the spring as a starting tackle. He is a hard worker and gives great effort during practice. He has a chance to be one of our best players.

 You'll have a little 6 year old that weighs 100 pounds on this huge, heavy-shod horse that weighs about 2,000 pounds and they control it by the flick of their finger. It's amazing to see the children up there.

 If I get put in the same position, would I make the same tackle? ... Yes. I've been doing it since I was a little kid. It's a secure tackle. I do what I have to do. A tackle is a tackle. You've been taught to bring down an opponent by any means necessary.

 He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. It was a good practice. Guys are showing a lot of enthusiasm. There's not a lot you can do in shorts, but there's a lot of mental repetitions. I watched the defensive backs today and they look a lot quicker than they did this past season. There are a lot of new faces we're looking at with that position. There will be a lot of competition with those guys this spring. Tomorrow we'll start easing into contact. Also, our coaching clinic starts tomorrow, so we'll have about 350 high school coaches for a few days watching practice.

 A keg weighs 165 pounds. That's a lot of weight for my people to handle. It's tough on our equipment, it's tearing up our coolers, and I no longer see the profitability of it.

 The entire eight-space rack with all the gear and the cable weighs just under 70 pounds, the maximum allowable weight for most airlines.

 In practice in high school, it definitely wasn't easy ... The competition day-to-day [at Mason] is intense, everyone's in your face.

 A lineman's average weight when I played football was around 262 pounds. Today the average is 342 pounds. The players are less athletic which is an intense health risk - especially during hot weather.

 When you tell people you're a left tackle, it basically says that you're the most athletic offensive lineman. To hold that position down, it's a sense of pride. You can get away with having a guard who's not as good. You can't get away with having a bad left tackle.

 He starts on my husband's side and then goes from a vertical to horizontal position. And you cannot push that dog — each paw weighs about 40 pounds.

 He can be a stand-up guy (play a non-line position) at 275 (pounds). He walked onto our practice field as a junior (in high school), and I thought he was an NFL guy.
