Our team showed some things that don't show in the stat sheet. They showed a lot of heart. They showed they wanted to compete.

We're hoping she'll be able to do something this week and possibly she could play. It has been hard without Kristen but Brooke (Smith) has done a nice job rebounding. Candice (Wiggins) has been playing with a lot more focus; the whole team is more focused.

Brooke is playing too much. But I think Brooke has done great things for us. Look at how much she's improved her rebounding since Kristen went out.

Whenever we needed points, C.W. was right there to make baskets. She's one of the most competitive players I've ever seen. She made some big (3-pointers) and she made her free throws.

You don't want to let anybody go off. I just think it's going to be key for us not to just play good possession defense, but to not give a lot of second and third shots.

In the old days, before the tournament, there was more significance to these games. Now it's about seeding for the (conference) tournament. We are in control of our own destiny. There are so many really good teams and every game is important, it's not that one takes on any more significance than the others.

She plays hard whether we're in Oregon or California or wherever we're playing. Jillian's kind of an all-purpose player. She makes great plays; she's a great scorer, passer and does whatever we need her to do.

We really struggled with our point-guard situation and didn't run our offense well at all. And [Washington] outworked us.

There were a lot of unforced errors, but people made big plays. It was a battle out there, and I feel like we are getting battle-tested.

Our team does need to be aware of the significance of (the UA) game, and to be sensitive, but also be ready to play.

They have been up and down, but they definitely showed what they are capable of. Teams get tired of getting beat. I knew when I watched them warm up that they were serious.

We were exposed as not a very gritty team. We didn't go the defensive work we needed to do and that fueled their offense. This is going to be a challenge for our team and I hope it's a valuable lesson because we are going to see more of this.

She wants to win more than anything, so she'll do what it takes. A lot of people want to win, but they won't do what it takes. When your best players are your hardest workers, you have the chance to be very good.

It seems like the strengths of a lot of these teams are really similar. Everybody's got excellent post players.
