 We haven't been playing great second halves so we came out with a concentrated effort. We knew they would come out in a press and I thought we handled it well.

 I knew it would come down to foul shots and we hit just enough to pull it out. I thought we handled their pressure well and Nick (Mooney) handled the ball against their press and we were able to limit our turnovers.

 This is a great win for us. We haven't won here since 2000, and I thought we played hard. We handled their pressure and we really rebounded well. We knew they wouldn't go away; they kept coming at us. I am very proud of the way we played and finished the game.

 I haven't played for a while in the league so it was nice to get back out on the field, but it was even nicer to get a result. ... Being 3-0 up, we knew that they were going to throw everything that they had and put us under pressure, but I thought that we handled it well and it was excellent just to get 3-0 up. We're playing well and scoring goals, but our game comes down to how we defend, so it was a little sad to give a goal away, but that's the game and we'll take the result.

 It was a combination of playing a team coming off one of its most disappointing losses -- I talked to coach (Riley) before the game and I knew they were about to come out with a great effort -- and we haven't shot that poorly all year.

 I knew we were going to have some trouble with their press, but I thought we handled it OK. We got in some foul trouble that hurt us and we changed the way we wanted to play. But our younger kids came in and did a nice job for us.

 Even though we haven't seen a lot of it, I was a little disappointed at how we handled their press.

 They handled our press better. They rebounded better. ... A lot of those rebounds that turned into 'and-ones' for them [Sunday] were our rebounds and we were going the other way [last time]. I think handling the press and being more ... they're always aggressive on the offensive glass. I just thought they were more productive.

 Our goalie played great, playing in the shadow (of last year's Minnesota Associated Press player of year Johanna Ellison). She handled it so well this year. I'm so proud of her.  For three halves, we just struggled offensively. I thought we came out and played with better effort and better energy in the second half.

 Seeing Forest Brook play, we realized we needed to beat their press. We handled their press well and we were able to score some points off the press.

 It was a very aggressive game, but I thought our kids stepped up and handled the pressure extremely well. I thought we were able to handle their press and get some big baskets then made some big free throws down the stretch.

 I thought the effort was good today. We were trying to get better as a unit. We haven't played together. The only thing that's going to help us is playing.

 We've had trouble playing two halves all year long. We put one half together and we can't put the next one together. Tonight we got those two halves right.

 This was probably the first time in quite a few years that we came into a varsity basketball game in the Classic 8 Conference as the favorite. The kids knew that, too. I thought we handled that situation very well. We haven't been in that position in a long, long time.
