We've dictated the game with all our home games recently, barring the D.C. one. I think against this team it's going to present a good opportunity to show some good offensive soccer and put them under a lot of pressure and kind of redeem ourselves for losing to them earlier in the season. |
We've had a lot of good news in the last couple of months. Most recently, we had the Fed hold the line, we had another employment report that was reasonable and now we've had gold plunge -- all of which have been encouraging to the bond market. Stocks have come along with the bond market. |
We've talked about having killer instinct and putting teams away. But we gave up a goal in the last minute (of the second) and that's something that seems to be repetitive in our game over the last few weeks and we've got to address it. This isn't the time of year you want this to happen. |
We've tried to create something that's much more like being at a mountain resort. Many of these types of facilities done in the past paid little regard to structure or the environment and just focused on the sport of skiing. We've gone a step further and provided an immersive environment. |
Weber goes off the beaten path. He practically scoffs at a lot of common valuation metrics and he isn't afraid to get heavily into certain industries that might make other people nervous. He definitely has the strength of his convictions, and for the most part it's worked out fairly well. |
Weird things happen in the NBA, and tonight was one of them. We had a chance to win the game and just didn't close it out. They made some big shots down the stretch and came away with the victory. Even though (Odom) made a mistake, as a team, defense down the stretch cost us the ballgame. |
Well, I think that I've been learning how to, attempting to learn how to write for a trio. I've sort of taken a page out of Duke Ellington's book. I watched Ellington over the years and it didn't matter who got in that band, he found out what they could do good and then he wrote for them. |
Well, I think there are experts who claim Linux violates our intellectual property. I'm not going to comment. But to the degree that that's the case, of course we owe it to our shareholders to have a strategy. And when there is something interesting to say, you'll be the first to hear it. |
What I do like is our guys haven't stopped fighting. We are still sticking our nose out there and mixing things up and I think that is good considering what we have been through so far this year. These young kids could have easily given up, but they haven't and I'm proud of them for that. |
What I don't want to see us do is keep fooling ourselves and say we're going to let Citizens handle it, the Cat Fund handle it, which is saying we have insurance when we really don't. All we're doing is creating this mechanism to tax ourselves at a level, frankly, our state can't sustain. |
What is worrisome about that is the U.S. standard of living. I think it is very difficult to envision our standard of living being preserved if we're in an economy where all people do is flip hamburgers, wait on people in stores and sue each other. It's not much of a basis for an economy. |

What we are looking for is a new way of being seen. The desired effect is a narcissistic gain, a boost to stimulate our self-image. This exterior vision of ourselves is reminiscent of the way we were first looked at by our parents. This is the base on which our personality is constructed. |
What we see happening is exactly what he said was going to happen, ... It kind of puts you in a hard position to then have any kind of deniability. You can try to blame other people if he wants, but it's a little bit of a stretch in credibility in light of what he said before he got here. |
