I can't believe he came back from the problem he had, came back up through and won it at the end. That last caution that was Norris' break was what I didn't need. We needed that to go another 10, 12 laps, at least, so I could put him a lap down. Then maybe I could have had a shot at winning it. |
I can't imagine anybody else in our league that had a win and two saves and pitched in all three conference games while playing shortstop the other bit of the time. He continues to take the ball whenever we ask him to take it, regardless of how early, how long or how late he's played the field. |

I cannot blame certain senators if they are so determined to use all of their time and energy to block this genuine outpouring of support from the people because they will already become irrelevant once the People's Initiative succeeds in paving the way for a parliamentary system of government. |
I certainly respect and understand the need for the American people to understand what their government is doing. And, obviously, we respect that and we try to make information available to the American people, but we also have a corresponding duty to ensure that national security is protected. |

I considered retiring last year and I still have the same thought in this difficult time. I thought the long summer holidays would have helped me but instead when I started to train I felt worse than before. My idea is to retire when I am at the top and not after spending a season on the bench. |
I don't go around thinking I'm the third most powerful, ... First of all, if they made the list of the most powerful business people in America, I would not be on the list so it's by virtue of the fact there we're so few women perhaps that I could you know, reside right after Oprah on the list. |
I don't hate it as much today (Thursday) as I did yesterday (when the pro-am was played in strong winds). We players fuss and moan and complain that all the courses on Tour are the same and when somebody finally builds something different like this, what do we do? We fuss and moan and complain. |
I don't know how to put frustration into words. We're just terrible. It's like we suck, man. I don't know what else to tell you, man, we can't find a way to win ballgames. I hate to say it, but we always find a way to lose. We have to find a way to win, but we always find a way to lose. Always. |

I don't know why all of a sudden the holy grail of security and safety is now closing records. It seems to me we would be more secure if we knew what was going on around us. ... Apparently there are those in government who want to close all these records and say, 'We'll keep you safe, trust us. |
I don't really react too much to what Patrick McEnroe and Jim Courier says. They kind of see what they want to see sometimes. I've had discussions with a few people why I lose matches. They seem to be the expert on my tennis, seeing me play one or two matches a year. I find that a bit humorous. |
I don't take any pleasure in sending people down. It's the way they earn their living. But I try to do it very honestly. I do sit home the night before and definitely think about it because I think they have the right to know what we're talking about and have a good reason for what we're doing. |
I don't think along those terms until it happens. You've got an off-season to go through at the end of the season and you've got a procedure you go through every year. It's always nice to have a couple extra draft picks, and you're hoping when it's time, you get a couple good players out of it. |
