I find I am more interested in the villain-type roles because they can be so much more complex than just the villain. I don't think anybody sees them as evil per se. They show how close we are to one another. It's an untapped area of art. And I think, physically, I'm not going to play the hero. |
I get nostalgic for the senior game anyway. The last game at Allen is always a toughie for us, because we're sentimental guys. I've been working on Colorado, reviewing their people, and I have to keep remembering that the game is the big story, even though we do have several sidebars this time. |

I go to the ballgames and I'm talking to the fans, and not the players. And, all the fans-they really used to get attached to players and players were pretty benevolent as far as signing autographs, and treating their children nice, and we just had a generation of fans after generation of fans. |
I guess if I had to attribute it (the turnaround), it was just the fact that the kids have done what we've asked them as a coaching staff and some of those things have turned out to their benefit, which has helped their confidence. The kids have responded very well and they've worked very hard. |
I guess it is something about Carolina that makes us go out there and not play our game. They made us rush. They made us make bad decisions. They killed us on the boards, and I think all of it for the most part are things that we are in total control of but we just didn't take care of it today. |
I guess we have to play at home. I'm kidding. We can't make mistakes. We have to be better mentally and not make those unforced errors and give the other team a chance to be on top of us. A big key in this game against the Chiefs is coming out, playing fast and really getting a hand up on them. |
I had opportunities to help us out and put us in a better situation as the game was going on and I didn't, ... I just feel bad for Chad because I know he had a pretty rough going, and for him to have an opportunity to make a play and I don't capitalize on it, that just makes it that much worse. |
I had shop tools and household things stored on a semi trailer on a farm secured locked up back in a drive way it was pretty much impassible; but then Dodge County I knew a couple of deputies and they recognized my name on some of the stuff and they called me and told me I had been burglarized. |
I have reminded him (Major) that there are some positive as well as some negative elements in the Dayton agreement and that lately, these negative elements are more and more prevailing. That is creating a fear among our people -- a fear that that might lead to the disintegration of the country. |
I have so far to go, I mean so far to go, but I can already see where it's paying off a little bit. I need to improve on consistency with my technique. I have to keep my pads down on every play. Have to be a better student of the game and break my opponents down better. It's going to take time. |
I have to give a lot of credit to Mitch and his mom. When they came on board, it was wholehearted, and they helped in ways that they didn't have to. Mitch helped make the difference in getting all those talented receivers. He really created so much momentum and that carried through until today. |
I have worked with a basketball player who said he was always told to get up before a game. Then he would go to the game and in the first five minutes, the ball would fall off his hands. He learned that before the game, rather than getting excited, he needed to do things to settle himself down. |
I honestly found out about halfway through the year how special the group we have is, because everyone on this team's a leader. Our attitude in the locker room and on the bench is so positive. It was unbelievable because every guy was involved. This journey has been something I'll never forget. |
I hope the kids will get a greater recognition of why they're getting a day off (on Monday) and what he did ... what he did for equality in this country. Everybody benefits from his work is how I feel. The younger we get this instilled in children, maybe it will carry over to their adult lives. |
