I like what I see. We're up 27 schools from last year and we've balanced the regions a little better. We're using a slightly more challenging lane condition, not as tough as Sport Bowling, but something that's tougher than the normal house shot, and we have some new bowling centers participating. |
I liked the energy level they played with throughout the game. That really spoke volumes for these kids, because it's so difficult to be in this situation, with our backs against the wall. ... But like I just told them in the locker room, we don't get to take any of these points with us up north. |
I looked up and gave them a fist because they worked as hard as I did for this. I appreciate everything they've ever done for me. I love them so much. I gave my little brother (Chase, 10) my district medal and he was so excited. I told him he won it too, because it was definitely a family effort. |
I love the service because it gives me a lot of flexibility and customers don't know I'm at a school function in the middle of the day. With Nokia and others coming out with new devices, I think RIM is in for a tough time. I will definitely switch to a better device with a less expensive service. |
I may have been a little more conservative but not terribly conservative, ... We went into the game with the idea that we were going to run the ball, anyway.... I didn't deviate too much other than the fact I'm sure that I said, 'Wow, we're down in there, I do not want to make a big error here.' |
I never saw this type of game coming, especially the kind of team we are. But you never say never. They came out and punched us and we never recovered from it. What can I say? This was their night. We were kind of shocked in (the beginning). We got knocked down, tried to recover, couldn't get up. |
I played more aggressively tonight with more pace and that was helpful to our effort. We moved the ball very well and attacked the basket very hard. It was similar to Game 1, but we finished at the rim. They are playing great basketball and we really have to respect them going into the next game. |
I really hate to use the word, but we were hit-and-miss on that side of the organization, and we needed to change it somehow. So the board and myself set a goal last summer of being a more efficient, more professional and upfront organization with our members. I think this gets us down that road. |

I see a lot of other guys who haven't played at all, just practicing and sitting on the bench during games. Getting that experience down there made me a better player. Of course, everybody wants to be up here in the NBA, but you have to look hard at your future. That will help me in the long run. |
I still don't think we have the Fed out of the way, ... The Fed seemed to worry more on inflationary than longer-term risks to the economy, which was reacted to very quickly in the market yesterday. That story still lingers today, as well as another major hurricane that's ramping up energy costs. |
I support a leash law for cats, 100 percent. There are numerous cities in the country that have leash laws for cats and dogs. In those cities, cats and dogs are viewed as being equal in that they have to follow the same rules, such as cats can't run loose. These cities have had wonderful results. |
I sure wish we could have got the win for (starter Dave) Borkowski (yesterday), just like I wish we could have got the win for (Tony) Fiore (Saturday). Both those guys have been very reliable for us from the standpoint that they haven't missed a start and they've given us a lot of quality starts. |
I think [the opener] is the hardest one. You come out and you've just got that 40 minutes. I think we seemed a little tight, not quite ourselves in that first half. I thought we loosened up some and really got the ball moving on offense much better and still continued to play really good defense. |
I think being isolated like that let me really get in touch with my inner voice. I was able to ask myself without any distractions, 'What do you want to do with your life? Where do you want to go? What do you want to be?' And with nothing but blue skies and pine nuts, I was able to see the light. |
